Is it legal to carry a concealed weapon in nigeria?

I want to defend my self against police.

And bokoharam, MEND, armed robbers, soldiers, area boys, politicial opponents, ritualists, kidnappers, assasins, beggers, fulani herdsmen, Massob, warrior tibes, Almajiris,   etc.  wink

Nigeria is a dangerous country why would you step outside without a gun?

Ha ha ha You take that 22 caliber pea shooter to a fight with a cop weilding an AK47, and you will cease to be in short order.

Don't say you weren't warned.

Funny, if that is what you call firearm.
in Naija even AK47 is being faced out, it is gradually being relegated to light arm, GPMG is the order of the day, and you dont need licence to drive, bear arm or do anything. you only try to get the licence after you are apprehended.
DONT EVEN TRY COMING HERE IF YOU ARE NOT SO SURE OF YOUR REFLEX

And there you have it.   Retroactive firearm permits are available directly from the arresting officers, at competitive rates that will keep your bank loans to a minimum.

In fairness to the gentleman who started this topic, rest assured that he must be spiritually fortified, by virtue of a few smoke-dried animal parts and cowrie shells carefully stitched to his red battle shirt, designed to repel most light munitions, as he sets out to lock horns with the Nigerian police while bravely brandishing that puny zipgun.

With respect to the speed of our David's reflexes, as he limbers up to face the Goliath, let us just keep those cameras rolling to create video archives, because there will certainly be no "black box" left to retrieve and examine when the smoke clears after this epic clash.

Few legal gun owners out there

but then Nigerian police have a penchant for calling any civilian sighted with a gun a robber

driving around with it won't help, the crazies might choose to exterminate you on the spot.

Its been stopped.
I have a dual barrel pump action shotgun, you'd renew your license every year. But the police refuses to renew licenses so you'd have to go through illegal processes.

The license is like an international passport only brown and the commissioner of police's signature has to be on it.

Mobinga, that second tube under the barrel of a pump-action shotgun is the tubular magazine containing 4 to 10 rounds for follow-up shots.  It is not a second barrel, despite its appearance.

A double-barreled shotgun is the old school "fire twice and reload"  design that is preferred by upland bird shooting purists, but rarely ever used for self-defence. Double barreled shotguns are either of the "side by side" barrel configuration, or the over-under variant, which could be mistaken for a pump action weapon.

My consultation fee for the above corrections will be $29.95 USD.   Will that be Mastercard, Visa or Amex ?

Your not serious? They might as well give them RPGs and surface to air missles while their at it!  grin
but seriously, why do they need machine guns? To terrorize civilians more effectively I bet. What the government should do is pay them more not give them bigger toys. Smh.

How do you go about getting the license ' illigally'? I don't want to be mistaken for an armed robber oooh undecided

btw how do you get your gun into Nigeria? Because I think Im gunna need an Uzi or some mac-10 pistols and I dont think those are sold in naija  smiley

Forget about the Mac 10 Pleep. You'll never find 45 caliber ammo to feed her in Nigeria.  I have that same problem rooting out 308 rounds locally for my deer rifle.    An Uzi may come in handy, IF you don't get nailed for importing it, but in actual fact, all the ordnance any self-respecting gunslinger could ever want is already available in Nigeria.

Completely unheard of in the past, pump-action shotguns are now common all over Nigeria, and if you know your fire-sticks, then you will certainly feel no need to acquire anything more elaborate than a tactical model (pistol grip, extended magazine) pump gun.   Police officers carry them, as do armed robbers and even civilian vigilante groups throughout Nigeria.  To coin a phrase, "Have pump-gun - will travel."

Obtain your "legal" permit and "broom" from a cooperative policeman, who will also handle your annual licence renewals.

Go forth, young man, and light 'em up.

^Thanks for the info. Pump action shotgun? Sounds good, a gun with personality  cool  But there's gunna be some serious problems concealing it.
Your right though, importing an Uzi could be a little foolhardy, especially with all the terrorism threats etc. I might need to reconsider that one. Haha
You said all the ordinance needed could be found in naija, but where should I look? Seems like I could run into some sketchy ppl ooo.

And how is hunting in Nigeria?
