Nigerian youths have showered encomium on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State over the peaceful conduct of Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been in Osun since yesterday preparing ground for today's election, which has been described as generally peaceful and free of any interference.

The youths said Mallam AbdulRazaq proved his mettle as the governor of Kwara State by conducting a free and fair election in the Osun guber primaries.

During the exercise, the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Osun APC Governorship Primaries Committee went to different wards, including those of the aspirants to ensure a rancour free election.

The exercise has also been adjudged peaceful, fair and credible by several independent observers and one of the aspirants.

A television personality, Babajide Otitoju attested to this fact when he took to his Facebook page to commend the exercise.

In the same development, the Kwara Central Representative in the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP), Hon. Ibraheem Abdullateef said the Kwara Governor has done it again.

According to him, "Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is making a cakewalk of the Osun APC guber primaries analysts had tipped was going to be a gruelling, violent contest.

"As a chairman of the committee, his calm mien and impartial disposition has helped to calm the frayed nerves, gain the confidence of the contestants, stakeholders and party members, and is instrumental to the conduct of a free and fair #OptionA4 exercise so far. It is an attestation of his acceptance in the national configuration of APC and sterling leadership qualities.

"AbdulRazaq has a long history of pulling off the impossible. This has not been different. I am proud of him. I am impressed by the good job he is doing with Senator Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe and members of the Osun APC Governorship Primaries committee" he said.

Conducting a primary where money was openly been shared to APC 'members' without membership cards to vote for an incumbent?

We should rather be worried that this is a prelude to 2023 as Buhari is yet to sign the amended electoral Act, it means that people without PVC will vote and therefore a Boko Haram ravaged Borno state will continue to produce a manufactured higher voters turnout to determine the national elections than a peaceful Lagos with far higher population.
