I just finished my nysc and I begged my friend to accommodate me for the time being pending when I secure a job. I just moved in on Saturday and I've been submitting CV to different employers. I feel useless staying at home whilst others go about their daily breads. Please if you have any link to any available job or you're a HR and your organization is in Ajah, I would be most grateful if you can link me up with a job.

Modified : I studied industrial technology(technical education) and in my past experience, I've taught in some schools as basic tech, maths or physics teacher. I have also worked as a store manager/office assistant in some non academic organizations

You only start planning when you touch down in Lagos after NYSC. Haba You should have ask this question why still in NYSC.

My advice is look for anything to do while you save to start your own business.

Don't listen to the idiot below who believe school is scam,by their name you know we're he is coming from.

Go to your house and eat a big bowl of apu and egusi soup.

Then start praying to God for a good job in Lagos.

If your parents are doing well, then you already have a soft landing.

Those who were efiko during their undergraduate days whom patronize jacking over their personal developments will feel the hit after their Nysc when no dream job coming through.

The truth is everyone have a story which will become part of our success stories someday.

Lagos can be stressful especially if you earn peanut not to talk of increasing price in tfare and foodstuff.

Well, you can start now before you become overwhelm with family pressure and society not to talk of your friendly friend you are starting with. He might not be as friendly ad before again.

If you have the means, I mean a laptop, data and food, you can start your personal development journey.

Learn digital skill, graphics, copywriting, video editing, email and creative writing.

Incase you don't know where to start, visit Fiverr website and see what you can do. You will surely see what to do and if you already have a skill, sharpen it with YouTube and start from there.

For more info, visit any Fiverr, Upwork, thread on NL and start your research, see Monika's with good comment and track their past comments. You will dig up more valuable threads....

If you think if earning #100,000 in a Lagos job. Stress, traffic, will eat you up. Learn and earn and invest in dollar.

$200 is #100,000 you can do it.

Don’t waste your time. Dedicate 6 months of intense focus into learning how to code. Best way to escape poverty in this country.

Apply for MSc in Unilag if you have the money but if you don't, enrol with part time courses while you are applying for work.
Never allow a day pass you bye without achieving something.
Absolute thrash, which masters? Accumulation of papers it's not an achievement. It's a complete waste of time, it's better to face the reality of what is on ground rather than hiding behind masters. After that masters you will still be faced with what you are running from, in Nigeria of today nobody send you and your qualifications. All you need is connection even with ur first degree you will get a good job. I will only suggest an employed graduate to pursue a masters.

Congrats for finishing your NYSC. I’ll advise you to not limit your scope of job search to only the field you studied. Consider learning a skill trade as it pays very well. With a skill trade, you can live anywhere in the world, get contracts/jobs easily and even move to a different country and still not be stranded.
For me, after graduating in industrial chemistry and after my NYSC, I didn’t border looking for job right away. I immediately went and learnt a plumbing trade for 2 years and today God has been very kind to me. I get plumbing contracts around the country. As I type now, I’m in Sierra Leone, helping out a friend whose Sierra Leonean friend is building a massive hotel in Freetown. He got the contract to fit in all the plumbing works in this hotel.
Skill trades pay wallai.

Please don’t be offended, what they fail to understand is your profession. Imagine you as Abba Kyari assistant for obioma for clothes amendment department Dey argue with scholars, who dey look for trouble? Next time ask question first before answering people. For my two children self for Benin, if I tell you how much I Dey pay for home lesson, you go understand those lazy parents in those big area for cities can pay more, because they won’t have time. You wey go government backyard school how you want take understand home lesson. No vex I understand where you for grow.
