Good day Nairalanders. I'm a young man suffering from Type 1 Diabetes for 11 years now and I must confess that it's not easy managing it. Today is making it the 4th day I've not been able to eat because I can't afford this insulin now.

My pain here is why the Nigerian government has ignored people like me suffering from type 1 Diabetes who struggle to buy this very expensive drug of insulin that can't even last me a month but two weeks and some days.

The people living with HIV Aids are been helped by the government and NGOs to get their drugs for free or almost free but me living type 1 Diabetes has no support to buy it cheap as the price continuously goes up.

The prize of the insulin humulin 70/30 100iu now is 7,500 naira and some even sell it up to 9,000 naira and I don't even have any money to buy it now.

Please I need those who can help me right now to buy it and also to be able to pass it to our government to have sympathy on those living with type 1 Diabetes by subsidizing the price and remove import duties for those importing it.

Unable to start my own business, unable start my own family and unable to live life because of this Type 1 Diabetes I've been struggling with since a young age of 17 and it's 11 years now with this illness. Poverty an Type 1 Diabetes is like a death sentence.
