Is it right to conclude that the UK government has failed Nnamdi Kanu? No concrete action from them since his detention despite his status as a foremost Igbo leader.

Can't the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson engage President Muhammadu Buhari on his matter?

Didn't you read their response? That's an international case or bcus kanu called Nigeria zoo you think FG are novice in this case?.It was a wise game by the FG for naming the organization he(Kanu) headed as terrorest organization. So that when his matter would come up,no international bodies will interfer.

The UK were the ones who actually helped the Nigerian government to capture him. It was a deliberate British move and Kanu had a tip off i guess, which made him elope from Britain.. The Kenyan government would never have surrendered a man who arrived in their shores with a British passport, to 'another country', without either getting their express order to do so from the British or atleast informing them in advance. In essence, The British government was well aware of everything that transpired.

It is my honest opinion that the British government, conviniently uses opposition characters like Kanu in troubled and volatile countries to manipulate the local politics. They pretend to be supporting these characters who are genuinely agitating for a better life, but once they get very good offers or economic concessions from the oppressive home governments, they will surrender the said characters to their enemies in government. It's all about what the British will get easily and quickly and not some emotional attachment to any 'foreign cause'.

In Nigerias case, it's not a coincidence that Kanu was given to the Nigerians by the British/Kenyans after Buharis oil ministry conducted a very secret Oil wells bazaar, in which the president insisted that the beneficiaries must be kept secret. I'm sure that both the Kenyan and the British Governments got enough oil and gas concessions and as such found Kanu a useful commodity to be used to complete the bargain. Nothing new here. It's the game nations play. They knew that Buhari was willing to spend the whole of Nigerias foreign reserve to "catch" Kanu and only manipulated that desperation to favor their imperialistic political/economic "interests"...

Foreign intelligence networks are involved in both the Niger Delta bombings and Boko Haram.

It's so dumb how ipob believe UK would support one Kanu who got his citizenship via naturalization and throw a whole Nigeria under the bus. A united Nigeria is what the UK govt wants and they gonna ensure it stays like that for a lengthy period of time. That's why sensible ibos don't tangle with Kanu and his ipob.
