Pls I Need Your Advice, Should I Sue My School? by Kingjabon: 8:56am On Feb 24, 2022
I am a final year student in my polytechnic, I am just two weeks away from writing my final HND 2 2nd semester exam. Last week, I was called to the Hod office and he gave me letter to withdraw my admission that my O level is not up to 5. I used the same O level for ND in another school, I register and was given admission with this same o level. I got admitted into the school since 2019 and I didn't hear anything until last week when I got the letter. Subsequently, after receiving the letter, I wrote Letter of appeal, in d letter, I pleaded that the school should allow me write another O level exam and update my result if the current one did not meet up with the requirements. The letter was disapproved.
I don't have money to start again from fresh, so this is how this school will waste my 4 years effort.
Pls advice me, what can I do?

You should have upgraded by now knowing fully well that your O'level is not top notched. But that's not the issue now- way forward.
Meet with your course adviser on how to preoceed on the matter. Suing your school will waste your time and resources as the case will linger for years. You'll eventually win the case, but you would have wasted so many years.

Seek every available means to address this aside from legal

@dawnomike, I have tried solving it using every possible means, spoke to my course adviser. Everything is not fruitful.

You would have been told severally about you not meeting admission criteria but in one way or the other manouver your way out till recent time. My advice is quickly check which o' level form is out and start preparing for it.
Then ask for what u can do from HOD of your school.

There's always a caveat on every admission letter to my knowledge, that, " if it is found that you do not possess the qualifications you claim to have, your studentship will be terminated and your admission withdrawn...". There may have been lapses on their part for not doing due diligence in checking your papers, and this will earn you some later compensation, but this won't include reinstating you back.
Buy another Jamb form and move on. Take your loss as the weakness of the system you live in. This is so that you don't waste further time and money. It's really unfortunate! Sorry.
