God did say,"Do Good, flee from evil" and "I love righteousness, and hated iniquity"

"See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men."

These do tell you His Opinion!

Christians and Muslims serve different deities so expect the rules to differ here.

According to the teachings of the God of the Christians, your charity(good works) is meaningless if you do not first obey God in all He commands. Your sins taints all your good works as Isaiah posited in Isaiah 64 vs 1 - 6, so unless you first rid yourself of sins , this by knowing the Truth of God - John 8 vs 31 - 33 - , all you do , you do in vain.

The Word of God Commands the doing of the good and righteous, so he is in line.
