There is this wide spread notion that being first class doesn't guarantee you a job in this country? Do you personally an first class graduate that is jobless? Or y'all like to downplay people's first class honours.

Not all have a good job that pays well. Many get connected and are hired into a role not fit for their study and a good pay. Many are underemployed and not the way they get employed in developed countries

My contribution here won't be pleasant, but it's a sad reality. No one owes anyone a job for graduating with a first class.

The labor market is a highly competitive one, and it's opened to First, second, third and even fail classes.

The labor market would frustrate you. Infact your bright mind will begin to fade, while your faded mind would be brighter. That's how frustrating the labor market is.

Except you have connections as a first class holder else hmmmmm...

Sometimes your "class" can limit you (1st class inclusive).
You just have to wake up (after bagging any class) & smell the coffee.

The job market is entirely different from academic market.
