I transferred one hundred and ten thousand naira to someone on the 25th day of February, 2022. Two days later - being the 27th, the man called to know why I reversed the transfer. I was totally bemused because I never did that. So we agreed to visit my bank and his own on Monday 28th -to find out what transpired.
On the 28th, I went to my bank and was told the transaction was successful -that nothing happened to it. So with that information, I went together with the man to his own bank where the staff told us the transaction was reversed by my bank. To support their claim, they printed out the man's statement of account, and gave it to me to take back to my bank.
Armed with that, I went back to my bank -where one of the staff grudgingly told me to expect my money from that evening till the next five working days-which means till March 4th, 2022.
Why the transfer was reversed, they never told me.
Why I have to wait for days to get it credited back to my account, they didn't explain.
Up till now, I haven't seen my money and will visit the bank tomorrow.
Please, if anyone has had this type of experience let him/her tell me how it was resolved, because I might end up killing someone there tomorrow.
The bank is Ecobank plc. Satellite town branch. The one at Abule-Ado Bus-Stop.
Please I need contributions.
Thanks.
