_His Balanced Attributes_

Attributes refer to the basic traits or characteristics of a person by which his or her status can be accurately defined. God Almighty is the Father of the universe and the Ancient of days. He is the Creator of heaven and the earth. Being our Creator, He desires that we know Him and all His attributes by which we click into more cordial relationship with Him. The Bible says "And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD..." (Jeremiah 24:7). Getting to know God and all His divine attributes has the following advantages: (1) It Puts you in a convenient position to acknowledge Him as God, your Maker. (2) It enhances your submission unto Him to rule over your life. (3) It makes you appreciate His mercy that opens the door of redemption for you to come in and sup with Him (Rev.3:11). (4) It plants godly fear into you so as to stop taking His grace for granted. God is good at all times, but He is as well described as a consuming fire.
Under the joyful attributes of the Most High, the principal trait that brings joy unspeakable into human life is Love as stated in 1John 4:16 [/b]saying [b]"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and He that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him". This is the key that opens the door of salvation unto humanity by which we get reconciled with God Almighty. The question now is have you experience His love by surrendering your life to Christ, or you are still there wasting His grace? Other joyful attributes of God include Mercifulness as stated in Exodus 34:6 . It says "And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth" . Long suffering is another powerful attribute of the most High which has been ensuring the sustenance of the universe amidst bombarding provocation man has always been staging against his Maker. Patience is that attributes of God that compliments long suffering to create second chance for you, a sinner, in His Kingdom. The Bible says "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil" (Ecclesiastics.8:11). The Almighty God is Omniscient in whose eyes nothing can be hidden (Psalm 139:1-4) . He is also Omnipresent (Proverbs15:3) . God is as well Omnipotent (Jeremiah, 32:27). All these and many more serve as the joyful attributes of the Almighty God which is why we must love Him and submit to Him for our own good.
As plenty and uncountable as the pleasant attributes of God are, the excesses of human nature are there to be checked and curtailed by the Judgmental attributes of His Majesty. We see all through the scriptures God demonstrating the other side of His joyful attributes in order to curb human wickedness and disobedience to divine instructions. Some of such Judgmental attributes are as follows: Divine anger and wrath as we see in Psalm 7:11b saying "...God is angry with the wicked every day". At Judgment the Bible describes God as a Consuming Fire (Duet.4:24) . The Almighty is God of mercy, but He also takes vengeance- (Deut.32:35). He is also God of Justice. At judgment, He will never punish the just and spare the unrighteous. The Bible says "And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book" (Exod.32:33).
False Prophets and false Teachers advocate saying that Grace has covered and overshadowed the Judgmental attributes of God; trying to persuade you to vote for HELL. They lie and that is why the Bible calls them FALSE. What has Bible got to say to this: "By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name" (Rom.1:5). it says grace enables you to obey God's law and respect your relationship with Him _(if you have been born again)._ The Bible further says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" (Rom.6:1,2). So, the grace we have of God _(if you have been born agin)_ is like grease that removes friction between you and your Maker. It is meant to ease our relationship with God by being more obedient to His word. The Bible says[b] "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace....shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid" [/b](Rom.6:14,15). It says, the dispensation of grace we are makes it possible to be holy than the people of old that belonged to law dispensation. Therefore, Grace is not a ticket to permissive life styles. It should be noted as well that there is nothing like _Eternal Security_ . Moses, Mariam, Demas, Dathan and Coral, Judas Iscariot etc were not spared when they defaulted. You must take heed and stop taking Gods grace for granted.
NOTE: When you have GRACE , you have the following
G = Godliness
R = Resistance against Temptations and the Tempter.
A = Appetite for nutritious word of God
C = Courage to face and to Conquer life challenges
E = Edifying life style that convict sinners and convert. A life full of GRACE does not defile.
Beloved, I believe the message is clear. God is gracious and loving, but He is a consuming fire, and He gets angry at sin. At a particular time, according to Bible history, He got angry with Sodom and Gomorrah and He opened the windows of heaven for conflagration to descend upon the two Cities. They were burnt to ashes (Genesis 19:24). One day He was angry with Dathan and Korah, the ground underneath them clove opened and they were buried alive together with their fellow rebels (Numbers 16:31-33). This same Almighty God got angry with king Nebuchadnezer for displaying pride and vain glory. He was instantly transformed from being human into a herbivorous animal [b](Daniel .4:30-33).
In your own [/b]case, have you not procrastinated enough? Can you stand His frowning, not to talk of His WHIPS? Be wise, be careful and stop taking His grace for granted.
