Putin gets a bloody nose as EIGHT aircraft shot down in bitter blow.

Ukrainian forces are reported to have shot down as many as eight Russian aircraft yesterday, on Saturday.

One helicopter is understood to have been shot down while making a low pass around 25 miles outside of Kyiv.

Western officials believe the increased use of aerial and artillery assaults by Russian forces is likely to result in more civilian deaths in an already bloody war.
