Night Life To Stop In Abuja (Security Scare) by omamokta: 10:12am On Jun 29, 2011
I was listening to my radio this morning, I heard that from today, Recreational park will close by 6.00pm, while Night clubs and Hotels will close by 10.00 in the FCT. This according to the source (96.9 Cool Fm), was because there is a security threat. So we will all go to bed by 10.00pm. Its unfortunate.
Re: Night Life To Stop In Abuja (Security Scare) by omamokta: 10:21am On Jun 29, 2011
Atimes i wonder if the people those involved in issuing these orders check well before doing that, do they know how much we will loose economically, socially, psychologically and even politically. Abuja is the seat of the nation and one should not fear of any attack in the city, our security should be perfect here and stopping night life should not be a strategy of combating the security threat. It shows one thing, we are scared of the BOKO HARAM and this will embolden the sect. Very soon, they will dictate who stays in Abuja and who leaves. Too bad.

So, do they think after broadcasting this everywhere that no member of Boko Haram will hear this information?

Unemployment rate will go up oooh. What will you tell the girls that come from all sorts of villages and rocks to do with their spare time? . Does the government have an amnesty program for the Ashawo Association of Abuja
Re: Night Life To Stop In Abuja (Security Scare) by Gbawe: 5:20pm On Jun 29, 2011
Wrong move IMO. Boko Haram will take a lot of encouragement from thinking they can bring the seat of power (Abuja) to its knees . This move will fuel their lust for further chaos. I think the dangerous message being sent out is that , in the Nigeria of today, violence gets you what you want from a Government that capitulates instead of act. With GEJ's 'carry everyone along' style and 'settling' approach we might even see some Boko Haramites gaining political office soon instead of the stern punishment they deserve for their heinous killing of innocent Nigerians.

Yes correct!
They think that announcing that the city should be locked down by 10pm is the right approach? That is capitulating and playing into the hands of the haramites, afterall what time of the day was the police headquaters bombed? 11am and not 11pm.

Then they apply to INEC to become a political Party innit !!!! BHN Party . Boko Haram of Nigeria Party. That is the current absurdity of the Nation called Nigeria. JEGA will register them as a political Party and GEJA will include them in his GNU (Government of National Unity) grin grin grin

Ol boy , when the going gets tough the tough get going. Make Ashawo sef just declare 'happy hour' (two rounds for the price of one) between 5 and 7 PM and customers go show up well-well to 'knack' and still get home well before 10 PM. Abuja na small town. No shaking .
Re: Night Life To Stop In Abuja (Security Scare) by Donbrig: 8:38pm On Jun 29, 2011
You guys should listen to news attentively before broadcasting it to others without any mis-information. It is a (temporary) curfew that was lifted in Abuja, and not a permanent thing, it is only going to give those in charge of security more insight on how to secure Abuja against further attacks, same measure could easily be taken in any part of the world. Make una dey understand news b4 una begin halla, We should be very very careful on how we condemn every decision taken by top officials.
