Before we start, I'll like to let you all know that the plot for this story isn't a linear one rathers it's an episodic plot i.e the plot is not the traditional plot that the story is all about rather each episode has it's own plot, in other words, the episodes are independent from each other in terms of plots except in few cases. The story follows the traditional sitcom model.

In as much as the number of episodes will be kept a secret for reasons best known to me and it's definitely not what you're thinking , I'll love to let you know that each episodes comprises of two chapter i.e let's assume we have 20 episodes, that will be 40 chapters. And updates will be chapter based.

CHAPTER ONE, EPISODE ONE: MEET THE CHUKWUMAS


BOOK/ STORY TIMELINE: September, 2021 --- December, 2022


YEAR: 2021


Mrs Brie Chukwuma tossed around on the bed, she couldn't sleep, she has tried all the tricks she knows would put her to sleep ranging from counting the ceilings, to counting from one to infinity, to singing a lullaby, to closing her eyes hoping the force of sleep would overwhelm her but it all proved abortive. She wondered if sleep itself has decided to go on vacation. She turned and looked at her husband who was snoring and sleeping so peacefully. Come to think of it, she wasn't even disturbed by his snores instead it sounded as music to her ears, she smiled. One amazing thing about life is, when you are in love with someone, anything he or she does is just perfect or lovely because Mrs Brie is someone who has high intolerance for snoring.

She got up from the bed and walked out of the bedroom enroute the kitchen, she needed to get her hands on something chill to cool down her burning and thirsty throat. On getting to the kitchen, she opened the refrigerator and brought out a pack of juice which she poured into a drinking glass and gulped the whole content down her thirsty throat, relishing the chilled feeling as it cools her entire system. She refilled the glass with juice and walked out of the kitchen into the living room with her right hand holding the glass cup while her left held the juice pack. She sat on one of the couch in the living room, dropping the pack of juice on a side stool which she drew towards herself. She sipped her juice carefully. A smile cut across her face as she thought about her family.

She is married to her heart throb and together they've been able to build and raise their home together. She could vividly remember when she first met her husband, Mr Jeffrey Chukwuma. They met at a cafeteria when she was in her third year in the University studying Economics, Imo State University (IMSU) to be precise. She had bumped into him accidentally. Like lots of love stories, they had a rocky start but fell in love along the line. She later found out that he was a 400 level student of IMSU studying Management and two years older than her. She also found out that he is the son of a billionaire business mogul, chairman of a large business conglomerate known as Commonwealth Group, popularly known as COWEAG, which Jeffrey now heads as it CEO.

Despite the situations, circumstances and challenges made to put a strain in their relationship, their love prevailed and they finally got married. Their blissful union has been blessed with three children;

* Morgana, the first child and first daughter of the house. She is the morally upright and ideal elderly one. She is sixteen years of age.
** Leanardo, the second child and the only son of the family. He is the tech guru and gut filled one. He is fifteen years of age.
*** Liv Chukwuma, the third child and second daughter of the family. She is the fiesty one, the bad bitch, as she always refers to herself. She is fourteen years of age.

The trio are commonly called 3Cs (Three Chukwumas), the mysterious kids of wonder.

Her husband and her, have been married for 18 years. Just like every other family, the Chukwumas faces challenges and they always as a family unite to profer solutions to them. Having such a beautiful, loving and somewhat mysterious family, she won't be wrong if she says she is lucky and successful as well.

She was recently appointed as the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Education after working as a public secondary school teacher, teaching Economics --- her husband, being the CEO of a mega corporation, wasn't comfortable with her working as a public secondary school teacher, but that's what she wanted --- from where she was promoted to the position of a vice principal, then to a principal before being appointed as the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Enugu State, Nigeria.

It seems thinking about her family was the antidote to her mysterious insomnia, her eyes became heavy and bowed in submission to the higher force of nature called sleep, she sank into it's deep abyss right there on the couch.

CHAPTER TWO, EPISODE ONE: MEET THE CHUKWUMAS

Just as every other Nigerian family, the Chukwumas is a family that abides by principles and rules thanks to THE AUTHORITY, as Mr and Mrs Chukwuma are fondly called by everyone in the family; the kids, the maids (Loveth and Cynthia), Felix, the gateman who also doubles as the security guard and Jacob, the kid's driver.
One of the rules is, everyone irrespective of who you are must be assigned a chore. Despite the fact that the Chukwumas are wealthy and have maids to handle chores, Mr and Mrs Chukwuma still insist that the kids will also help in doing chores. Their reasons, they don't want the kids to be spoilt and dependant on anyone, they want them to be independent; being able to handle things on their own so that whatsoever life throws at them, they will be able to deal it.

"While spoiling you all with the good things of life, we also want to preserve you and raise you up properly by setting you on the right path by instilling discipline, love of God, morality, character, hardwork, diligence and the attitude of independency in you, and one way of doing that is to ensure you learn and know how to do chores. Yes we know, we are rich and we have maids to handle that, but get one thing into those brains of yours, they are maids and not slaves, so don't expect them to do all the work while you lazy around. Okay." The Authority always drum into the ears of the 3C's and failure to do so always come with severe punishment(s).

Just like in a every law abiding society, there is always that person who is hell bent on breaking the law. Well in this case, the law abiding society is the Chukwumas family and the hell bent on breaking the law citizen is no other than the head in the cloud, Liv, who tried to defy the law of chores. An act that turned out to be a miscalculation on her part.

"Liv!!!!!" Morgana called or more like screamed as she bashed into Liv's room.

"Did you forget your manners at the Mall yesterday? What if I was naked or..."

"Masturbating?" Morgana cut her off, a sly smirk on her face.

"Jeez," Liv uttered in suprise and disgust.

"Why haven't you done your chores?" Morgana asked, hitting the nail straight on the head.

"Chores?"

"Yes, chores. Why haven't you done them?"

"Because I don't want to do them."

"Why?"

"Z."

"Don't you dare reply me that way Liv," Morgana uttered, wriggling a finger at her.

"Chill, big sis, chill. It hasn't gotten to that." Liv grinned. "Anyways, I don't want to do them. Why should I do them when the maids are there?"

"Exactly, they are maids and not slaves and are not expected to do everything for us."

"Only in this house of ours, look at Francas, they don't do anything because their maids do everything for them. Gosh! We are high class, so why should we, the kids of the house, be brought to the same level as the maids and made to do chores?"

"That's for mum and dad to answer. When they're back, you can ask them that and we both know you know the answer to that," Morgana replied.

"That's exactly my point, I don't wanna ask them anything, I'm going to lay my mind bare to them on why I can't continue doing chores in my father's house."

"Father's house indeed, a father you can't keep to his rule, anyways, that's your business. Now get your lazy self out of that bed, go downstairs and get your chores done, small lady," Morgana ordered.

"I refuse to oblige," Liv fired back.

"Even if you want to present your case before mum and dad, at least, do your chores for now, whenever mum and dad are back you can do whatsoever is in that mind of yours."

"Never."

"You know, trying to advice Liv is tantamount to breaking a rock with a wood, you know it's impossible. So leave her, she will face the authority when they are back," Leonardo said as he passed by Liv's room enroute downstairs.

"Aproko, who called you?" Liv said referring to the passing Leo.

"I think Leo is right, lazy around but get one thing straight, nobody is gonna do your chores for you like previous times. Your chores will be left undone till when mum and dad return and I'm gonna take pleasure watching the drama that's gonna unfold then in IMAX," Morgana said and walked out of Liv's room.

"Just negodu," Liv sneered.

"So it came to my notice that you suddenly decided to go against an important law in this house, the law of chores, Liv?" Jeffrey said in his sitted position on the couch, his legs crossed with Brie by his side sitting on the armrest of the couch, her arm wrapped round his neck.

"Yes dad, because I'm fed up of it. I still can't place my hands around while we, the kids, should be made to do chores as the house workers. It's unfair, that was why I made that decision," Liv said defensively as she stood in front of the panel of her parents, more like judges with her head down. She dare not look at them in the face because that will spell doom for her.

"Listen young woman, you don't have to place your hands around this but obey. It's an order from your mum and I. We didn't take such decision because we wanted to maltreat you all, rather the decision was made for your good. We want you and your siblings to be independent and to be able to handle things on your own. We could have decided not to employ any worker so you three can handle everything, do you think we were stupid for not doing so?" Jeffrey said raising his voice at the last statement. The atmosphere became tensed and quiet.

"Listen rebel, you've disobeyed and you will be punished for it, and it gonna be very severe," Jeffrey paused and stared at everyone in the room.

"For the next one week starting from tomorrow, all the chores in this house will be handled by you, and one more thing, your allowance for the month is seized," Jeffrey verdicted which brought out gasp from everyone in the living room.

"Jesus Christ is a Christian," Leo reacted.

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!! That's unfair. Mom..."

"Your dad has spoken," Brie said cutting Liv off. That was all it took to seal her fate. The agreement of both members of the Authority.

"Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe. How art the mighty Liv fallen," Morgana mocked and laughed as Liv butted the floor dejectedly.

***A Week Later***

"Welcome ma," the maid greeted Brie as she collected the grocery bags from her.

"How are you Loveth?"

"Fine ma. How was work today ma?"

"My dear, work was fine and hectic as usual. Where are the kids?" Brie asked.

"They went out with their father," Loveth replied.

"Their father?" She said glancing at her wrist watch.

"It's 6:00 pm, he came home early today?" Brie asked.

"Yes ma."

"Did he tell you where they were heading out to?"

"No ma, but he said they will be back soon."

"Okay. Take those bags to the kitchen and start preparing the foodstuffs, I will join you in a jiffy. Let me get myself refreshed," she said as she went upstairs.

"Okay ma."

Brie went to her room, pulled off her cloths and dashed to the bathroom. In matter of minutes, she was done taking her bath. She came out of the bathroom in her shower robe, went to the dressing room adjacent the bathroom and changed into a round neck white polo which had the inscription "LOVE IS LIFE" written on it at the breast region over a black leggings. She packed her hair into a bun before heading to the kitchen downstairs to prepare dinner.

Brie is a forty one year old woman who looks younger than her age. She has the physique of a lady in her early thirties, possessing long dark hair which she doesn't relent in flaunting, glistering brown skin or chocolate skin as it is fondly called, captivating facial beauty, average in height, moderate perky bossom, right amount of endowment at her behind, physically fit and to crown it all, beautiful curves and edges that accentuates her beauty and make heads turn three sixty.

Jeffrey had called and told her to prepare one of his favorites, ohia soup, which made her head to the market from work to get the foodstuffs. She walked into the kitchen to perform her duty as the loving, caring, respectful and dutiful wife that she is. So much for being a wife.

"It's been a long and hectic day," Jeffrey said tiredly as he walked into the bedroom and lay on the bed.

Jeffrey Chukwuma is a forty three year old man who still looked like someone in his early thirties. He is a little above average in height, fair in complexion, has a broad statue which shows that his regular visit to the gym haven't been a waste.
"Really," Brie replied from her sitting position where she worked on her laptop placed on the table before her.

"Yeah."

"That reminds me, where did you and the kids go out to this evening?" Brie asked, succumbing to her curiosity.

"Oh that, I just took them out for sight seeing. Just wanted to spend some time with them, you know I've been busy of late, so I had to shift my schedules so that I can spend a little time with them."

"Uh huh, see who decides to be world's best dad. That's so sweet of you."

"Yeah. Family first," Jeffrey replied.

"Sweet heart," Brie called getting off her sit and sitting on the bed facing her husband. She placed a pillow on her laps.

"Yes, anything the matter?"

"I want to inform you about something."

"Okay."

"I will be traveling to Abuja in three days time to attend a summit with the Governor."

"Summit? Why you?" Jeffrey asked and grimaced. Brie rolled her eyes.

"The summit is on Education."

"So?"

"Duhhh, isn't it obvious. I am the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Education."

"Why must you be the only one to attend the summit with him?" Jeffrey asked, a tint of jealousy in his voice.

"I won't be. The Governor himself, the commissioner of Education, my humble self and every other soul in charge of Education in Enugu State will be going also."

"So how long will you be gone?"

"Atmost, four days."

"Four days?" Jeffrey asked, wide eyed.

"You know you are a mother right?"

"Yes, what are you driving at?"

"And you shouldn't be away from the home or kids for so long," Jeffrey said, being overly dramatic.

CHAPTER FIVE, EPISODE THREE: FIXING THE STEVENS

"Loveth, go see who is at the door," Brie ordered from her sitting position on the couch, on which she's seeing a saop opera on TV wrapped in Jeffrey's tender and muscular arms.

"Okay ma," Loveth said as she raced from the kitchen to the door via the living room.

"Good evening," she greeted who was at the door excitedly.

"Hello lovey dovey," one of the guest, a man accompanied by a woman, greeted teasingly as he walked into the living room after responding to Loveth's greeting.

"Hey. Oh my my. Who am I seeing?" Jeffrey said excitedly as he got up untangling himself from Brie who also got up excitedly.

"It is who you are seeing," the guest jibed, embracing Jeffrey.

"Mehn, Steven Johnson, it's been like ages," Jeffrey said.

"Hey man, don't exaggerate, it's just been three years and beside we hook up on social media, calls, sms," Steven replied.

"Damn the media. I'm talking about reality, you in person. Oh my goodness, Mrs Juliet Johnson, you are looking angelic," Jeffrey said embracing Juliet afterwards.

"Thank you. You are looking more handsome everyday, I can see Brie is really doing a good job," Juliet complimented which was followed with laughter by the four.

"So how are the kids?" Brie asked after the exchange of pleasantries by the four.

"The kids are good and hearty."

"I see. Oh forgive my manners. Make yourselves comfortable."

"So what do I offer you?" Brie asked after everyone has positioned themselves comfortably on the couch.

"Anything soft will do, right Steven?" Juliet directed at Steven.

"Yea, anything cold and soft to calm down our already worked up nerves," Steven replied.

"Okay. Cynthia!"

"Yes ma," Cynthia replied coming out of the Kitchen.

"Get me a pack of Apple juice and four glasses."

"Okay ma," Cynthia replied and walked back into the kitchen to carry out her orders.

"Wow, again I say it's been long," Jeffrey said.

"Yea, we actually came for the wedding ceremony of a colleague of mine and we decided to pay you a visit and if possible spend one or two days with your family, that is if permitted," Steven said.

"Of course you are. You don't need any permission to come or stay here at all. You're like a family to me," Jeffrey said as Cynthia served the drink.

"Yea, this is also your home, anytime, anyday," Brie supported.

"Good to hear and before I forget, where are the kids, the 3Cs?" Steven asked.

"Yea, where are they? It's been long I set my eyes on them," Juliet said.

"Hmmmm, they're upstairs. Leo, Liv, Morgana. Uncle Steven is here, come say hello to him and his wife," Brie called out.

"Really!!?" Liv exclaimed excitedly as the 3Cs raised downstairs like kids running from the bogeyman into the embrace of Steven and Juliet.

"Wow, just take a look at my babies, all grown up," Juliet said as she embraced them one after the other.

"Take a look at them, growing like weeds, getting more beautiful and handsome every passing second," Steven said embracing them one after the other.

"Guess what guys, they will be staying with us for some days," Jeffrey announced.

"A week," Steven chipped in which made the 3Cs leap in excitement.

"That's great, but what about the kids?" Jeffrey asked.

"Don't worry about them, they will be okay with their nanny," Steven said.

"We didn't bring them along with us because the academic session is still on, we don't want them being absent from school," Juliet explained.

"Then we are good to go," Brie exclaimed.

"It's gonna be a full house," Morgana said.

"And that mean lots of fun, trust us." Liv winked as she said that.

"Naughty kids, you guys haven't changed, not at all," Steven said laughing.

"Morgana, why don't you take their luggages to one of the guest rooms upstairs," Jeffrey ordered.

"You know what, you guys should just go up, freshen up and come down for dinner," Brie said.

"We were waiting for you to say that," Juliet replied. She, her husband and the kids went upstairs.

Jeffrey and Steven have been best friends since they were little, their friendship could best be described as friend-brothers because they were closer that close itself. They did literally everything together. They attended same nursery, primary and secondary schools and were able to convince their parents to let them attend same University where they were roommates. Through their parent's connection they were posted to the same state and place of primary assignment to serve. They lived and did things together until when Steven had to move to Lagos to start his own family ten years ago.


***At a bar somewhere in Enugu city***


"Spill it."

"Spill what?"

"You heard me Steven, spill it. I know something is wrong, you've got issues in your marriage," Jeffrey said.

"I told you everything is okay. Just a minor issue, we will get over it," Steven said sipping from his glass of whiskey.

"Oh cut that crap. what do you think I am? A fool? Loot at me, I know something is off in your marriage. What's it?"

"It's good you know that but you need not worry, I got this."

"That's what you've been saying for the past three days since you got here but nothing has changed. I was expecting a whole week of fun and hooking up only for this crisis to arise two days later and from the look of things, it has been going on for sometime now. What's the problem?"

"Look Jeffrey, as I said earlier, I got this, I will fix it. It's my marriage okay," Steven said. He gulped down the whole content of his glass. He refilled his glass with drink.

"Steve, you're my friend, you're like a brother to me. I can't just sit back and watch your marriage go down without doing something. Confide in me," Jeffrey pleaded.

"It's my fault. I caused it. Ever since she found out, my marriage has never been the same again."

"What? What did Juliet find out?"

"I've tried my best to fix it, but it just seem unfixable."

"Stop beating about the bush Steve, what's it?"

"Hmmmmmmmm," Steven groaned as he took his glass of whiskey close to his mouth but immediately dropped it on the table tensely.

"She caught me in bed with my mistress," Steven confessed.

"What!!!!!"


***Same time at an eatery somewhere in the city of Enugu***


"Juliet, what's the problem?" Brie asked.

"I'd rather not talk about it."

"Why? Come on."

"Because there is nothing to talk about."

"This is your marriage we are talking about here."

"Marriage? Is this what you call marriage? Did you just call what I'm in marriage?" Juliet asked with sadness and anger.

"Uhmmmmm yeah. I mean, what do you call what two people, male and female, go into when they wed promising to love, cherish, support and all the bla bla bla they say to each other?"

"You're so funny." Juliet chuckled. "You said it yourself, marriage is characterised by love, support and cherishness by the couple but is a marriage which is devoid of all this called marriage? Is a marriage where there is absense of fidelity, love, trust, understanding and support still marriage? Is marriage something that makes you regret why you went into it in the first place?"

"I don't get you, can you go straight to the point. What is the problem?"

"You won't understand because you are lucky to have someone like Jeffrey."

"What do you mean?"

"Just imagine that your darling Jeffrey is cheating on you, not just cheating but have a mistress behind your back."

"He won't dare," Brie said with an angry look as she folded her fist.

"You see, you are already angry just at the imagination of it talk more of when it's a reality."

"Oh my God, Juliet," Brie exclaimed, her hand on her mouth as realisation dawned on her.


***The location of Jeffrey and Steven***


"So for how long has this been going on?" Jeffrey asked.

"For quite sometime now but she found out two months ago."

"And?"

"And I've tried everything possible to fix it, to get her to forgive me. I love her Jeffrey but I messed up, I messed up!!!" Steven said slamming the table with his fist luckily not drawing attention to themselves.

"This is really bad."

"I know. Whenever the devil sees that all his tricks to bring you down fails, he then sends a woman," Steven said to himself looking away but loud enough for Jeffrey to hear. Jeffrey felt the urge to laugh but that won't be sane in such a situation.

"So what are the steps you've taken to sort the mess?"

"Everything Jeff. Everything I know and can. Cutting off the relationship with my mistress, Kara. Turning a new leaf. Pleading and begging for her forgiveness with whatever means I know and can but things aren't just working."

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm."

"But you know the confusing part?"

"What?"

"She actually forgave me but some days later, she went back to her shell."

"Seriously?"

Quietness descended afterwards.

"That mistress sorry ex mistress of yours, did she say anything to you like threaten you when you broke up with her?" Jeffrey quizzed after some seconds of reasoning.

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Yeah, you know mistress, the way they behave when you break up with them. She rained threats and insult on me and my family."

"Like?"

"Saying they won't be peace in my marriage and that she will deal with me until I come running back to her, and all the other bla bla bla."

"That's it amigo, she's carrying out her threats. She is the one behind Juliet's change of attitude since you said she forgave you."

"Okay." Steven gave him the 'go on' look.

"She have been playing mind games with Juliet by saying or showing or sending her something implicating."

"OMG. Why didn't I think of it? I thought she was just making empty threats. Why was I so daft?" Steven said almost screaming.

"Chill bro. Chill before you attract attention to us."

"I swear I'm going to kill Kara."

"Before you commit murder, I have an idea."

"Idea?"

"Yea," Jeffrey answered and said something muted to him.


***Same time at the living room of the Chukwuma's mansion***


"Kate is lucky, assuming I am Chantel, I would have dealt with her to the point the word dealt will be surprised itself. Imagine seducing your sister's husband, your only sister. Imagine the height of wickedness," Loveth said angrily.

"Calm down Loveth, it's just a movie," Cynthia said.

"It's a movie about the happenings in our world. I always pray that I shouldn't have such a sister."

"Shuo."

"And that stupid husband of hers even had the guts to sleep with his sister in law. What a shame. Wickedness."

"You are just funny Loveth. Stop over reacting."

"Leave me jor."

"Mm hmmm," Cythina groaned and snapped her finger. "It seems Mr and Mrs Steven's marriage is passing through a rocky time."

"It seems so but how is that my beeswax?"

"That's your biz but what I'm wondering is why they had to let the whole house know by quarreling in the presence of everyone. Why couldn't they at least do it privately or better still settle it as couples."

"Cynthia, I don't know, you can go ask them yourself."

"You can go ask them yourself," Cynthia mockingly mimicked Loveth. "What's wrong with you self? Amebo."

"See who is calling me amebo. For your I... N... F... O, gossiping mode deactivated," Loveth replied.

"Why can't you girls mind your business?" Someone said from the door startling the duo as they turned frightfully to look at the source of the voice.

"Jacob, why did heck did you frighten me that way?" Cynthia said heaving a sigh of relief.

"You scared the hell out of me" Loveth uttered.

"Only someone who gossips, who doesn't erm mind her business, who sticks her nose into other people's affairs. Only someone who is up to something or who has a skeleton in her cupboard will be startled and frightened at just a voice most especially when they've been caught," Jacob replied walking into the living room.

"Why are you ladies and gossiping inseparable? Why can't you just mind your business?" he said pointing at the duo.

"And why can't you just mind your own business? Why can't you just go and do what you came into this house to do? Why must you interfere with what we were saying? What's the difference between us if you can't stop poking your nose into what we were saying? Mr self righteous moral speech giving adviser," Cynthia replied rudely.

"Mind your tongue Cynthia or else..."

"Or else what. What will you do? What can you even do self? We were gossiping and so what? How is it your concern? how en dey do you for body? Abi na you we dey gossip? Is it your gossip?" Loveth flared up cutting Jacob off.

"See I don't have the time for you girls but I hope this mouth of yours like the size of a micro chip won't land you both in trouble," Jacob replied and walked out on them enroute upstairs.

"Imagine this piano oh" Loveth cussed, Jacob gave her the middle finger on his way upstairs.

"Chia, Cynthia you don suffer for this life, na me this frustrated nonsensical nonsense just insult now. Infact, I'm out of here," Cynthia said and walked out of the living room enroute her room leaving Loveth.

"Mouth like the size of a micro chip. Me!" Loveth pondered.


***Location of Brie and Juliet***


"How come, I mean, how did you find out?" Brie asked tensed.

"I caught them in bed. I caught them having sex. I caught them in an hotel room. I was tipped off by an anonymous good samaritan to the hotel," Juliet said bitterly.

"I forgave him when he came pleading remorsefully claiming he is sorry, he is ready to change, he has broken up with his mistress and all of that. I forgave him, I forgave him Brie because I love him but it seems he was far from changing. Days later, he continued his affairs with his mistress," Juliet explained wiping tears off her eyes.

"And how did you find out he was still cheating on you?"

"I received an MMS from his mistress containing videos and pictures of them together," Juliet said.

"MMS? Videos? Pictures?" Brie uttered.

"Wait, let me show you," Juliet said, picked up her phone and went through it.

"Here," she said after finding what she was looking for. She handed the phone to Brie.
Brie's eyes widen in shock as she went through the pictures and videos on Juliet's phone accompanied with rueful and insultive captions. One of the captions caught her attention.

"Loser, divorce him already and let me have him all to myself. Can't you see he doesn't love or even care about you. This is a picture of us after a hot romping sex session," Brie read aloud.

"Now this is a whole lot of crap. What... what, can you imagine this ashawo? And Steven even had the guts... oh my gosh!" Brie said dazed. She palmed her forehead unable to assimilate what she just saw and read. She felt pity for Juliet. She wondered what would happen if she caught Jeffrey in such situation.

"No no nooooooooo, it can't happen," she exclaimed at the thought of that. Juliet gave her the 'what's doing this one?' look.

"You know she is right. I'm contemplating giving Steven a divorce, Brie. I can't continue to endure such torture," Juliet said.

"What!? Divorce?"

"Yeah, divorce. That's what I should have done a long time ago."

"No, I'm totally against such decision. Babe, don't tell me you want to chicken out of your marriage for one olosho to take over. Stay. Stay and fight for what is yours. Don't let someone else come and take it away from you. Do you think divorce is the solution? No, it's not. It will only make you a loser. She has been getting to you because you've been quiet. Stand up, tell her enough is enough. Tell her she can't just come and destroy your marriage of ten solid good years. Were is that intrepid and no nonsense Juliet I once knew? Before you file for that divorce, think about your marriage, home and love. Will you just let your hard work be scattered and destroyed? Think about your children, will you let them pass through the trauma of a broken home? Think, think, I say think," Brie concluded her motivational speech.

"It's easier said because you are not in my shoes."

"Juliet!"

"Thanks for your sermon. I just need to go home and rest my head," Juliet said, got up, picked her purse and walked out of the eatery leaving Brie shocked and confused at her response.

"Sorry to burst your bubbles Juliet. You aren't filing that divorce. Not under my watch," Brie soliloqued and followed suit.

CHAPTER SIX, EPISODE THREE: FIXING THE STEVENS

"Fasten your seat belt, we are about to take off," came the voice through the speaker in the plane. Juliet complied and turned to look at her husband who reciprocated the gesture, she smiled at him as soon as their eyes met.

Few days ago, she didn't know she will be leaving Enugu to Lagos happily with her husband. She didn't fathom that they will settle their marital problem, she thought that by now, they would probably have divorced but the opposite is the case thanks to the Chukwumas. She will always be grateful and thankful to that beautiful and adorable family who saved her marriage.

Her mind wandered to the events of the past two days when Jeffrey told her Steven's side of the Story, she was shocked to find out the truth behind the MMS which was Kara's plan to wreck havoc on her marriage. She regretted ever harbouring the thought of divorcing Steven. She felt foolish for almost taking an action without knowing the other side of the story.

She smiled when she remembered how they made up. That evening she had walked into their room with thoughts of how to patch things up with her husband and save her marriage when she was welcomed with a beautiful and romantic sight. The room was decorated with flowers, flashy and fancy lights and various beautiful plycards of different sizes and shapes with different inscription of "I LOVE YOU", "PLEASE FORGIVE ME" and other romantic mushy mushies.The floor and bed were adorned with rose petals. Steven was sitting by the side of the bed in deep thoughts. He stood up the moment he saw her enter. He went down on one knee and apologized to her, pleading for forgiveness and telling her his own side of the story which she already she knew.

Juliet couldn't hold her emotions any more as she let tears drop from her eyes. She walked up to him, pulled him up and enveloped him in a long, lovely, emotion filled and sensual hug. To cut the long story short, they made up.
Juliet smiled at the thought of that when she remembered what happened after, something spicy. Brie was right, she shouldn't chicken out of her marriage, she should stay and fight which is what she has made up her mind to do, she is going to fight, fight for her love, fight for her marriage, fight for her home and with the support of her husband, family and friends most especially, The Chukwumas, only one thing is sure, Victory.

"The battle line has been drawn Kara," Juliet said. She placed her head on Steven's chest who cuddled and kissed her forehead.

"You have my support, sweetheart," Steven whispered in her ears as the plane took off enroute Lagos City.

"Mission accomplished," Brie said high fiving Jeffrey. They just returned form the airport where they went to see off the Stevens.

"Yea, I'm happy we were able to pull this off."
"As a family," Liv said immediately.

"Come to mummy," Brie said spreading her arms. The 3Cs scampered into her at once for a hug.

"I'm so proud of you," she said pecking their foreheads.

"You guys made me very proud," Jeffrey complimented.

"We had to do what we had to do. We couldn't just let their marriage run down the drain as a result of one daughter of Jezebel," Morgana said.

"Women!!!" Leo muttered disgustingly.

"What did you say?" Morgana asked, ready to play feminist.

"I didn't say anything," Leo said raising both hands.

"So what suitable name should we give to this successfully completed task," Liv said and slumped into a couch, the others followed suit.

"Fixing the Stevens," Leo said immediately, everyone turned to look at him. "I've been contemplating on it for sometime now." He shrugged.

"I agree with Leo. We actually fixed them," Liv said. "We fixed their marriage," she continued, to prove her point when the others didn't get her.

"Yeah," Morgana affirmed.

"Well, if you guys are done given names to every task been carried out in this house including this one..." Jeffrey paused and glanced at them. "I will be in the bedroom. I really need a cool shower," he concluded, stood up and went upstairs.

"Oh I forgot I was in the middle of a video game, I better go and continue," Leo said racing upstairs.

"I posted a picture on Instagram, let me check how many likes I've gotten," Liv said searching for her phone. "And were the hell is my phone?" She asked no one in particular. "Oh I forgot it's in my room," she said palming her forehead in remembrance, going upstairs afterwards.

"And what's your excuse?" Brie asked Morgana. "Or aren't you going upstairs like the others?"

"Urm, I will," Morgana said getting up quickly and scampered upstairs.

Mrs Brie smiled at the lovely, beautiful, adorable and somewhat mysterious family she has. Talking of mysterious, she is still awed on how the 3Cs were able to know every details of the issue at hand. She and her husband were surprised that the kids were aware of their plans and the moves taken to patch things up between the Stevens.

When they asked the kids how they had knowledge of the information, Morgana replied them saying, "When the 3 combines with the C subscript S, anything is possible." And together they were able to fix the Stevens as Leonardo termed it.

She remembered how she and Jeffrey plotted a plan to "FIX THE STEVENS" which was first, talk to the couples individually and find out the cause of their marital issue. Next was telling the other, the other's side of the story convincing them to make up. Next, together with the 3Cs after they mysteriously got themselves involved in it, was to create a condusive atmosphere and scene for the couple to make up. Although it wasn't easy, they pulled it off. Her lips curved into a smile, she picked the TV remote, switched on the TV to see an on going drama on XavNet Drama, a channel owned by Xav Network, a subsidiary of Xav Group.

CHAPTER SEVEN, EPISODE FOUR: KEEPING UP WITH FREDISH

Family reunion is something everyone wouldn't want to miss, it is something everyone wants to be a part of because it's the moment everyone gets to see, meet and hook up with their love ones again after being separated for a period of time by certain factors. Unfortunately, as beautiful as this may sound, a reunion may be some people's worst nightmares not because they hate being in the presence of the people they love or that they are allergic to the words "Love or reunion" or they do not have a family to unite with but because there is that one family member who they don't want to see, that family member who irritates them, that family member who always gets on their nerves, that family member who they wish they could just get off their back and send them into oblivion but they can't because life has chosen to bring them together under an umbrella called family. Well, this was the case of the 3Cs when Jeffrey broke the news of their cousin, Fredrich commonly called Fred, imminent arrival to the Chukwuma's home.

"What!!" Leo exclaimed.

"Dad Nooooooooooooooo!!" Morgana followed suit.

"That arrogant brat!!" Liv screamed.

"Language," Jeffrey reprimanded Liv.

"I don't care what you think or what your reactions are but all I can tell you right now is that Fred will be visiting us to spend his one week mid term holiday with us," Jeffrey said authoritatively.

"Dad, he is arrogant," Liv said.

"Proud," Morgana said.

"Insultive," Leo said.

"Pompous," Morgana uttered.

"Abusive," Leo voiced.

"And... and... and..." Liv muttered in search of the right adjective.

"And what?" Jeffrey asked Liv raising a brow.

"And fredish," Liv said with irritation.

"Look kids, I know your cousin, Fred, can be and is all you've called him but he is still your cousin and my nephew. Nothing is ever going to change that. That cousin and family relationship you have with his siblings, I want it extended to him also. I want you guys to have and share such bond and relationship with him also. Nothing will make me happier, which is why I want you guys to make use of this visit of his to tolerate and work things out with him. As I said, nothing will make me happier," Jeffrey said and walked out of Liv's room, the location of the discussion.

Jeffrey is the only son and third child out of four children of a successful billionaire and business tycoon, Chief Nonso Chukwuma, and his wife, Mrs Sandra Chukwuma. Jeffrey three sisters are Kimberly, Favour and Chidinma respectively. They are all happily married. Kimberly and her family lives in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Favour lives in Berlin, Germany with her family while Chidinma lives with her family in San Francisco, USA. Kimberly and her husband, Chris Ayodele, have been married for twenty years and together they have four adorable kids, two sets of twins to be precise. The first set are Fredrich or Fred who is a minute older than his sister twin, Confidence. The twins are a year older than Morgana. The second set of twins are Chidiebere who is fifty seconds older than her twin brother, Patrick. They are ten years of age.

"Hey cousins, missed me?" Fred Ayodele said walking into the living room with Jacob carrying his luggage which he handed over to Loveth who took it upstairs to his guest room.

"I don't think you need an answer to such a rhetorical question," Liv replied, her hands folded across her chest.

"I will take that as a yes," Fred said walking towards the 3Cs.

"So how are my favourite cousins doing? It's been long I saw you all."

"We've been doing fine until the very moment you decided to show up in this house," Morgana replied sternly.

"Chill sis. Isn't it too early for this? Besides, must we always start up on the wrong foot? Can't there be an exception today?" Fred said which brought out a scoff from Morgana and Liv.

"Coming from you. It's impossible," Liv said.

"Ah Fredrich, you are here already," Jeffrey said descending the stairs.

"Yes uncle."

"How was your trip? Hope it's was smooth?"

"It was hitch free, uncle."

"And family?"

"They're all fine. They send their greetings. What of Aunty Brie? I haven't seen her."

"Oh, she isn't back from work yet. Alright guys, I should be on my ways," Jeffery said and glanced at his watch.

"Take care y'all," he said patting Fred on his back and walked out of the house.

"Listen and listen well amigos. I don't care about your welcome show and also forget about my niceness, those were just drama, uncle was around, I suspected. I am Fredrich Ayodele, the cousin you detest most and just like every other time I come visiting, this one week holiday of mine with you guys is going to be characterised by my presence and all that follows it, which of course you know, obnoxious drama. Brace yourself for it," Fred said, winked at the 3Cs and ascended the stairs.

"Scoundrel!!!!!" Liv screamed at Fred.

"I can't wait to come fist to fist with this jerk," Leonardo said, folding his fist and raising it up to his face.

Fred walked down the stairs, he could hear the laughter coming from the 3Cs in the living room who were engrossed seeing a soap opera on Zee World. He smirked and walked over to them.
"What is so interesting about this boring Indian channel?" Fred asked but got no response. He walked over to the center table, took the DSTV remote and switched the channel to MusicVerse, a channel owned by Xav Music, a subsidiary of Xav Group, as he settled on the couch.

"Excuse me," Morgana said as she stood up and walked towards Fred menancely and slowly.

"Are you alright? Are you daft? Is your thinking faculty functioning at all? is your brain dead? Didn't you see we were busy with the TV? Why did you change the channel?" Morgana asked but got no reply from Fred who stared at her nonchalantly.

"She asked you a question dimwit? Why did you change the channel without our consent? What is wrong with you? Are you possessed or what? Don't you have five naira manners? Oh I forgot, you are a mannerless dog. Fool," Liv yelled at Fred but still got no reply from him. This infuriated Leo, who walked over to the TV and switched it off.

"Listen and listen very well, Jerk," Leo uttered walking towards him. "I have tolerated your rude, arrogant, abusive, fredish and intolerable attitude for the past three days and have got it up to here." He cut his right hand across his neck.

"Who do you think you are? Do you think you can just leave your home over there in Port Harcourt and come over here to my house and make life pissed and uncomfortable for me? No brah, things don't work that way. So you better sit up or get a new operating system that will enable you to function well or else my fist will be ensign on your face," Leo said angrily. Fred got up and faced him.

"So you really think you can beat me?" Fred asked.

"I didn't say I can beat you but I will beat you. See, I don't need to ask God for strength to beat you. I will beat that mannerless attitude out of you. Forget the fact that you are two years older than me, don't test my patience before I make some blood out of you," Leo said enraged.

"Interesting, I'm..."

"Not one word from you amigo. As he said, don't push us farther than this or else..."

"Or else what?" Fred challenged cutting off Liv.

"Or else we are going to beat the living and dead daylight out of you. Crap. Fool," Liv and Morgana said in unison.

"... and teach you a lesson you will never forget in a hurry," Morgana continued.

"Wow, I'm scared," Fred said sarcastically.

"You know I can't wait for that day to come. As I said on the first day I came here, brace yourself cos I'm very very very obnoxious." With that statement, he walked out on them and out of the house leaving an infuriated 3Cs who tried their best to contain their emotions.

"That day will be any moment from now Fred, I promise you that," Leo said through gritted teeth. He stomped out of the living room enroute his room angrily.

It's kind of weird that the face off between the 3Cs and Fred didn't draw the attention of the house workers excluding the authorities who weren't around. Of course, it did, it's just that they are used to the constant feud between both parties and trying to settle things between them has always been mission impossible, so the best thing is to stay off. And besides, they've all had their own share of the feud with Fred. One of such scenario was when Felix almost beat Fred to stupor because the latter called the former "a wretched and hunger stricken gateman".

Another scenario was between Loveth and Fred. It all started when Loveth went to give Fred his laundered clothes in his room and tried engaging him in a conversation in which Fred rudely replied her. What broke the camel's back was when Fred called her "a futureless maid". Hell was broken loss that day as Loveth almost brought down the roof as she rained insults and abuses on Fred. As for the case of Fred vs Cynthia and Jacob, those were issues in another dimension. Terrible.

CHAPTER EIGHT, EPISODE FOUR: KEEPING UP WITH FREDISH

"Mum, dad, we have to talk cos this is getting out of hand," Leo said flinging the door wide open as he barged into his parent's room followed behind by Morgana and Liv. Jeffrey and Brie who were on the bed were shocked and surprised at his action.

"Young man, has your brain been kidnapped? What gave you the boldness to barge into my room without knocking?" Jeffrey fired at Leo angrily.

"Dad, we are sorry for the intrusion but this is a delicate matter that needs attention," Liv apologized on behalf of the 3Cs.

"So what delicate matter will make you lose your manners of knocking?" Brie asked with a scowl on her face.

"I'm sorry for my actions but please, we need to talk to you," Leo said apologetically.

"Okay, what's the matter?" That was Brie.

"It's about Fred," Moragana replied instantly.

"Oh, I thought as much," Jeffrey exclaimed.

"Dad, Mum. You have to do something about him. Ever since he came to this house, it's been one tension to another, one feud to another, one problem to another until it reached its climax few minutes ago. I'm still surprised why nothing has been done to curb him most especially after the incident earlier today, you just calmed things down, gave brief scolding and even blamed us even after we explained everything to you. Dad why? we need an explanation cos I'm tired and fed up," Leo explained.

"Yeah," Liv and Morgana chorused in affirmation.

"Mum, Dad, that boy has to go, I'm so fed up of him," Liv said with a note of finality as she remembered the incident that took place earlier that day.

The 3Cs were in the living room playing chess when Fred walked in demanding to join them. Initially, the 3Cs refused with the reason that they weren't compatible to play the game of chess together but later agreed with the term that he had to wait for them to be through with the current round. Fred refused, demanding he wants to join in the round, stating arrogantly that he must join the current round otherwise there won't be any game to be played. He boasted that he always gets what he wants, he doesn't take no for an answer. Nevertheless, the 3Cs refused to give in, stating categorically that if he doesn't agree to their term, he should kiss playing goodbye. That seemed like a challenge to Fred which he responded to. He walked towards them, took the chess board and broke it stating that if he doesn't play then no one else will. This infuriated the 3Cs especially Leonardo who threw a punch at him which landed on Fred's nose causing him to bleed. Fred reciprocated by attempting a blow targeted at his left jaw, but before he could do that, the 3Cs pounced on him leading to a physical face off between them with the 3Cs having a upper hand thanks to their number. If not for the timely intervention of the maids and the authorities who arrived at the nick of time to calm things down, Fred would have been beaten to stupor.

"We haven't taken any action because of a reason," Brie said snapping Liv out of her thought.

"And what could that reason be?" Morgana asked inquisitively and confusingly.

"We wanted you guys to settle things amicably, I mean, this is your problem, so we wanted to see how well you will handle it, we can't be meddling into your affairs all the time, they're certain things you should be able to handle on your own which includes this one. We wanted to test and see how matured you will tackle it but it seems things aren't going in that direction," Jeffrey explained.

"But since things are escalating out of proportions, we will take it over from here. So you guys should go to bed, tomorrow, I and your dad will handle it," Brie said assuringly.

"Okay," the 3Cs muttered unisonally and filed out of their parent's bedroom.

"And call Fred for me this instant," Jeffrey said to Morgana who was the last to go out. She nodded as she walked out shutting the door behind her. Parents and children were oblivious of the fact that Fred had overhead their conversation. He has been eavesdropping on their conversation right from when the 3Cs barged into their parent's bedroom. He tiptoed back to his room not too long before the 3Cs came out of their parent's bedroom.

"Fred, what's the problem? You aren't doing what we agreed. I allowed you to come spend the holiday here despite knowing the issues between you and your cousins because of the reasons you told me for wanting to come. Why aren't you executing it?" Jeffrey said to Fred who stood before him and his wife in their bedroom.

"Uncle..."

"Don't uncle me. Just go and do what you have to do, okay. Get out!" Jeffrey ordered cutting Fred off with his hands pointing to the door. Fred walked out quickly.

Fred closed the door behind him as he walked and slumped on the bed facing upward. He has a bruise on his nose which was as a result of the punch received from Leo earlier that day. They're also traces of faint bruises on his body as a result of his fight with the 3Cs. He rubbed his forehead gently with his right hand deep in thought. Time is running out, yet he hasn't done what he came for, he doesn't know or even have a plan on how he is going to go about it but he knows he has to do something otherwise his coming to Enugu will be in vain. He knows it isn't going to be easy but he has to do it but how? He smiled when an idea struck him.

"I think I know what to do," he said and positioned himself to sleep.

"Can I join you guys, please?" Fred requested holding a glass of juice on his right while his left holds a wrapped package. The 3Cs are sitted before him in the garden round a table which contains a pack of juice and three glasses.

"For why? To annoy us? I don't think so."

"No!!!"

"If this is your ploy to irritate us, you better run back to where you are coming from."

Liv, Morgana and Leo replied respectively. Fred chuckled.

"Please, what I want to tell you three is really important. I promise not to be annoying or arrogant or freddish according to Liv," Fred said smiling at Liv who gave him a 'who is even smiling at you?' look.

"Please cousins, I cross my heart."

"Okay, go on," Morgana gave him the go ahead.

"May I?" Fred asked pointing to a sit.

"If you like," Liv replied still with a cold stare. Fred smiled, placed his drink on the table and lowered himself onto a sit, placing the wrapped package beside him. He cleared his throat and took in a deep breath. He stared at the 3Cs whose eyes were intently fixed at him.

"Ermmmm guys, I'm sorry," Fred said which made the 3Cs look at each other in confusion and disbelief. Did Fred just apologize? Did the almighty Fred just say "I'm sorry"? No, their ears must be playing tricks with them, maybe he said something else. Their ears are definitely playing tricks with them, maybe they didn't hear him clearly.

"Yes guys, I know it's hard to believe that I'm the one apologising but this is reality. I'm sorry for all my rude, arrogant, annoying, irritating and fredish attitudes towards you guys. I'm sincerely sorry, I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me," Fred said apolegitically.

"Did he just..."

"I think he just did," Morgana replied Liv. The 3Cs stared on for minutes, surprised.

"Hmmmmmmmm. Okay, I forgive you as far as it's sincere and not a ploy to carry out any evil scheme," Leo replied Fred.

"Guys I'm sincere. I'm truly sorry," Fred said sincerely.

"Uhmmmm okay. You're forgiven," Morgana said.

"I forgive you," Liv said reluctantly.

"Thanks guys, and one more thing," Fred said and carried the wrapped package, he unveiled it revealing a chess board. "I'm sorry for breaking your chess board, so I decided to replace it," Fred continued.

"Restitution accepted," Liv said snatching the board from his hands before her siblings even had the chance to. That action of hers brought out laughter from Fred and her siblings.

"Not even a hug?" Fred asked spreading his hands wide for an embrace.

"Of course, there will be, just waiting for you to initiate it," Morgana replied and hugged him with Liv and Leo following suit.

Fred jumped and lay on the bed excitedly, fist bumping the air in excitement.

"Mission accomplished," He exclaimed to himself.

He was happy because his purpose of coming to spend his holiday with the Chukwumas, which is to set things straight with his cousins, has been fulfilled, although he was distracted for some time. He could remember the look on his parent and sibling's face when he told them his intention of spending his holiday with the Chukwumas. They strongly kicked against it because of the not to good record, scratch that, bad record, super mega bad record he has with the 3Cs but he was later granted approval to go because he had the backup of Jeffrey and Brie who were in support of his reasons to visit them after he revealed it to them. They promised to have everything under control.

He refused informing his family of his plans because he wanted to surprise them when the deed has been done. A wave of fulfillment overtook him as he lay down to sleep. Two days later, Fred left the Chukwumas mansion enroute his home in Port Harcourt as his holiday came to an end but unlike his other visits, his leaving was on a happy note as a new bond of love, friendship, closeness and tolerance has been formed between him and the 3Cs, not only the 3Cs but Felix, Jacob, Cynthia and Loveth as he patched things up with them. He could remember the look on the faces of Jeffrey and Brie when he broke the news to them, they were super filled with happiness that the long term feud between the 3Cs and Fred has finally been settled. Fred left with happiness, joy and excitement. He couldn't wait to inform his family about the new development, they will be down to hell shock, surprise, happy and pleased about it. He can't wait for that look on their faces.
