Russia used its newest Kinzhal hypersonic missiles for the first time in Ukraine on Friday to destroy a weapons storage site in the country's west, the defence ministry said.

Russia has never before admitted using the high-precision weapon in combat, and state news agency RIA Novosti said it was the first use of the Kinzhal hypersonic weapons during the conflict in pro-Western Ukraine.

"The Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic aeroballistic missiles destroyed a large underground warehouse containing missiles and aviation ammunition in the village of Deliatyn in the Ivano-Frankivsk region", the Russian defence ministry said Saturday.

Why move into a city when you can stand from a distance and level it to the ground? Russians are been kind to Ukraine , and don't want to harm civilians, the civilians are the ones giving guns to ambush Russian soldiers, but if they get killed in the process western media will use it against Russia

Russia is just destroying infrastructures and killing civilians with air strikes. Russian ground forces are failures.

After leveling Ukraine to the ground, ground forces have to move in. Ukraine has bunkers and bomb shelters for critical weapons and soldiers. There are POWs in Ukrainian military bases. Striking those bases mean killing of their men as well.

Take over the capital. Overthrow the government and install a government that is loyal to Russia.

The aim is not to destroy Ukraine.

Just to put more pressure on Ukraine to give in to their demands, and they will get those demands, the only part of Ukraine Russia was interested in was the Crimea Peninsula and they took it since 2014

Then Ukraine is now pro-west. If it is for only crimea, since Russia has gotten it, it should declare ceasefire and station their troops in the region not inside Ukraine.

Ukraine doesn't belong to Russia. Read about how USSR was formed. Scotland does not belong to England. It is part of Great Britain and United Kingdom. UK consists of 4 nations. Just like ussr. Biafra or Eastern Nigeria agreed to be part of Nigera in 1960 with no succession clause.

The people of Crimea Peninsula which are majority Russian speakers are happy to join Russia that's why there was no resistance when Russia took it from Ukraine in 2014 and they celebrated even yesterday, the other two breakaway regions which Russia recognize as independent states where already fighting the Ukrainian government before Russia's invasion, Russia's invasion is a boost to them, I repeat Russia made demands and Ukraine will accept those demands at the end of it all, Russia feels threaten about Ukrainian ambition to join nato, Russia also asked for Ukrainian disarmament so that Ukraine won't be a threat to them in the future, Russia recognize those Ukrainian breakaway regions to make Ukraine smaller and weak so that it can't be used by Europe or America against Russia
