You can almost buy at same price in ShopRite.
You bought a well packaged onions, we rather prefer going to the market or wait for the Abokis to come serve us what will carry us for weeks without tearing our pockets.

Why can’t you take the next available flight back home instead of ranting?

This is the problem with many Nigerians who just accidentally found themselves outside Nigeria still carrying on their heads, their home mentality.

The least minimum wage if you work in UK like in Nigeria (40hrs weekly) is £1280 per month.
What is the percentage of this £1 onion from your earnings and compare it to the percentage of the cost of this same onion to the Nigerian minimum wage?

Moreover, this onion is expensive for £1 in some low cost UK supermarket like Lidl, ASDA et al, possibly you went to higher cost supermarket.

I think all these guys who claim it is not green over there are using that to deceive the people they supposed to help.

If it is too expensive there, fine, pack home and see that you will neither get the £1 nor even eat the onions in peace.
