In this post I will be giving you the summary of Invincible Man by Ralph Ellison. This is a non-African prose recommended by the west African Examination Council.

Summary of Invincible Man by Ralph Ellison
The narrator begins telling his story with the claim that he is an “invisible guy.” his invisibility, he says, is not a bodily circumstance—he isn’t literally invisible—but is rather the end result of the refusal of others to peer him. He says that due to his invisibility, he has been hiding from the arena, residing underground and stealing energy from the monopolated light & electricity enterprise.

He burns 1,369 mild bulbs simultaneously and listens to louis armstrong’s “(what did i do to be so) black and blue” on a phonograph. He says that he has long gone underground so as to write the tale of his lifestyles and invisibility.
