I saw a comment in a thread yesterday of the lady that didn't want to marry the barber and someone said how the lady will get to 40 and remain unmarried then become a bitter person.
My joy was the reply I saw where this other person replied that comment on how it's not only single ladies that get sad and not all marriage makes people happy.

This made me to remember what happened last year in my town, there was this lady that got married in her early twenties and for years she didn't get pregnant now the issue was that both the husband and his mother tear this lady apart, they made her feel small, miserable, they are always blaming her for not having any child.
The funny or sad thing was that this husband was sleeping around and had so many girlfriends that he even brought back to his matrimonial bed, his mother even brought a village girl for him to pregnant but he couldn't get any of them pregnant which begs the question that maybe it was not the Wife fault and this infertility could come from the husband but NO nobody want to have that conversation that men also get fertility problems and everything was heaped on the wife.

The wife became so miserable, depressed that one day she slept and didn't wake up, when her obituary came out she was just 44years old, so young and so beautiful but because of what society tells her about been single at that age or you can't be happy in your 40's without a man she probably never left the miserable marriage or maybe she was just exhausted of everything, the constant insults, emotional trauma everyday could have lead someone into deep depression and low self worth that's why she probably remained there.

Anyway the man brought another woman into the house after 2 months of his wife death and according to people around, there was nothing wrong with it because he is a MAN and you know every man need a woman but I am sure if it was the other way they would have what the wife to mourn for years.
Fyi the new woman still haven't gotten pregnant

My point been, live your life as you see fit, do things that makes you happy and forget what people and society thinks because society will only drain your happiness with their needs and expectations of what they want you to be.

The necessary and simple truth here is people should not see marriage as an escape from societal mockery. There will always be lovers and haters in every situation.

But an excellent marriage is the best thing on earth while a terrible marriage is the highest hell any human can experience alive.

Life is not a bed of roses in any condition. Therefore, why avoid marriage in an attempt to be happy? If you get married and willingly make the sacrifices required in marriage, you will be happy. Marital disputes occur because people are not willing to make the sacrifices required in marriage.

The logic in your conclusion is very destructive. You advise people to do what makes them happy. What makes an individual happy might be evil. For example, A yahoo boy, killing his girlfriend for money, will be happy. A married man can be cheating on his wife because cheating makes him happy. A girl sleeps around to be happy and by the time she gets married, her body must have faded and the husband will be sad. A man sleeps around to be happy and by the time he gets married, he must have contracted deadly diseases or might have done what will make the society disrespect his wife. Sorry I know this is coming late but your point been we shouldn't do what makes us happy because some people will commit crimes and other perverted stuff, so we should live in agony and sadness because some % of adults don't know what is right or wrong.
