Amechi is a very influential member of Buhari's cabinet. With presidency zoned to the south by APC, many people are speculating that Amechi might just be the favorite candidate of PMB.

The influence of Wike within the PDP cannot be overemphasized. With the understanding that their ticket will be zoned to the South and having already declared his interest in the race.

What if both Amechi and wike successfully win their respective party primaries? What will be the outlook of 2023 election? Is there a possibility of that happening? How will that affect the dynamics of the election?

You're right. The once celebrated hero of the South Easterners suddenly became an enemy because of the Obigbo incidence. The VAT saga is still fresh in the minds of the Northerners. While Amechi has focused on his portfolio for the past 7 years without getting on the nerves of many people

Wike won't win a single ward in the SE, even if he is contesting against a Northerner in APC. Even Amaechi that is more acceptible won't win big in SE talk less of Wike.

Meanwhile, Amaechi may emerge APC flag bearer but Wike will never emerge PDP flag bearer.

This your analysis is so wrong! Peter Obi is one of the few ex governors in Igboland that is still respected across SE.

What did Amaechi do for SE or Igbos at large that will warrant such love you're talking about?

Compared to Wike, Amaechi is more acceptible but comparing him to Obi in terms of popularity is laughable. Obi will even win more votes in SS than Amaechi.
