I believe Super Eagle's retrogression started with the neglects of our gifted and dedicated local players. This existing style of anything foreign goes is bad for us. We always go for either foreign based players, the foreign bred players or Nigerian players born in Europe with not much patrotic connection to Nigeria especially the ones who chose other nations ahead of us but we're rejected and they turn to Nigeria. Let's promote our home grown players who have African football rudiments and tenacity in them...those players play for passion, patriotism and to make name for themselves. We should make it difficult for any player to walk in and have a shirt... let's bring back the passion. On NFF's side money&God father politics in sports must stop...it's time to carefully select a passionate and quality coach. |

Forget local players. We used our best players. They did their best & there was not much difference in quality between us & Ghana. We didn't lose. Both matches ended in a draw. Problem is that most of our players are average but are overhyped & overrated thereby putting so much expectations on them. But we need a quality goalkeeper. Better luck next time. 1 Like |
