1. Your culture makes you who you are. The Ashantis who are the majority in Ghana are naturally laid back people. I won't call them lazy, but they are just people with little ambition. Ashanti culture influences the whole of Ghana. Our cultural values and beliefs influences our way of life, Nigeria is a battle ground for cultural superiority contest.
2. Having a better educational system does not guaranty that you'll produce the most educated people or the best. France may have the best healthcare system in the world, but that does not mean they produce the best physicians or their health services are the best.
3. Fulanis are not indigenous to Ghana. The majority of Ghanaians live in the Southern part and the South controls the affairs of the country. Everything Ghana is Accra and Accra is in the deep south, so Fulani have little or no foothold in Ghana.
4. Passport ranking is a thing of diplomatic choice not a thing of must. North Korea has alienated itself from the majority of the world, but China and Russia still remain their greatest friends. It's a thing of choice.
5. Currency?? I no go talk put here. You need to learn economics from scratch, because it's obvious you have no knowledge in this area.
6. Tourism is not by force, not every country see tourism as a lucrative business. For example Japan is one of the greatest countries in the world today, it made it's name via other means not tuorism.
I'm not saying you ain't correct in some of your assertions, but next time when comparing put down the positives and negatives of both countries. For instance, just because Norway is a peaceful country with so many of it's institutions working perfectly does not mean that Norway is greater than the USA.

The Asantes are laid back people? Maybe by Nigeria standards, but the Asantes are like the Igbo of Ghana. Very cultural, very hardworking, very enterprising, very eloquent, very imaginative etc.
Our version of Inosson is Kantanka Motors, ran by an Asante. Our music, movie industry etc are ran by the Asante. They're the most prolific people in Ghana, just a tad bit "slower" than the Igbo, Hausa etc. Read up on the Asante empire

They are somewhat slower compared to Nigerians, less aggressive, easily satisfied and barely see things beyond their immediate environment. Do you know that one of the reasons you have more African Americans with Nigerian DNA as compared to Ghana where you have more Caribbeans with Ghanaian DNA? Its because even the whites noticed that people from Nigeria/Cameroon were more resilient, more aggressive, more difficult to control, hence they sent them to region with "harsher climate" as a way of punishment etc to till the soil there.
Hence today you have more of AAs with Nigerian and Cameroon-Congo DNA.

"...they barely see things beyond their immediate environment." Well I won't dispute that too much. But Ivory Coast is made up of about 40% Akan/Agni people that originally came from Ghana. To tell you how far their influence went. Same influence extends all over Ghana into Togo etc. The Ghanaian shoe makers/hustlers of the Ghana must go era were majorly hardworking Asante etc
The Asante were some of the earliest people to venture into the Japans etc, some of the first people to open African-owned markets/businesses in America etc
So they venture out too, but not on the scale of the Igbos etc just like you're saying.

Well I never said they ain't hard working, but they are people that get easily saitified whereas they can achieve more if they put in more effort. Historical facts can back my claim. It's well documented where the Europeans were comparing the character of Africans from the Bight of Biafra to that of the Gold coast region.
Ashantes are generally docile in nature. It's a known fact!

. I've been noticing the American/Nigerian, Ghanaian/Carribean difference in the African diaspora. Thanks for the explanation. In Suriname for example I hear there's a majority Akan/Ghana African diaspora there, because most of the enslaved Africans were from Ghana.
Ghana also has the highest number of slave forts/dungeons in Africa; about 33 I think, so there's a lot of preserved "slave history" here.
The first European structure to be built on the African continent The Elmina slave dungeon is also in Ghana
PANAFEST and Emancipation Day, 2 strong African diaspora tourism initiatives instituted during Rawlings' regime also bring/brought in significant African diaspora tourists in the past. Etc etc. There's a solid reason for Ghana's tourism numbers

The highlighted is simply for tuorism. Ghana has preserved her pre colonial sites better than most continental west African countries. Not everyone is happy making money from a shameful past.
I'm hearing for the first time that Elmina slave dungeon is the first structure built by the Europeans in Africa. I know countries like Morocco, Gambia, Cape Verde, Senegal, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria and Egypt are closer to Europe geographically than Ghana, so it's very likely Europeans got to these places before other parts of Africa. So I wonder where you are getting your Elmina story from..
Also don't forget that parts of Spain is in Africa, that's Ceuta and Melilla, Morocco and Spain has been intermingling with each other even before slavery.
sweetmelanin: 1. The People Ghanaians are generally cool, calm and collected. They live a peaceful life without the need to boast and show off excessively, they appreciate their culture and live in humility. They live a generally slower pace of life and therefore experience a more stress-free existence appreciating nature and the true beauty of African serenity. Nigeria on the other hand is a highly populous nation, filled with amazing people but the general society is more suited to fast paced, aggressive way of life. The effects of the harsh and brutal environment in Nigeria is evident in the angry, bumptious, loud and arrogant personalities the nation produces .. personalities who have been conditioned to adjust to a constantly oppressive system of living, thus having traits of anxiety, violence, boisterous but yet cowardly ‘suffering and smiling’ traits where the tolerance for inhumane treatment is so high.
2. Education By African standards, Ghana can boast of a sound educational system. This is evident by how many Nigerian students troop to Ghana year after year, to enjoy a decent education with good infrastructure and to have a shot at achieving their degrees in good time. The University of Ghana ranks #12 amongst the Top Universities in Africa.
3. They deal with their Fulani problem swiftly and effectively, ensuring the peace and safety of their citizens. A wise nation understands the importance of self-preservation and this is why Ghanaian authorities are swift to act whenever there are any potential of threat or nuisance by settlers in their country. The Fulani people in Ghana are kept in their place as settlers and in fact, the Ghanaian constitution is structured in a way that ensures that no one of Fulani decent will ever rule their country no matter how long they have settled there. This an intentional move to protect the safety of the Ghanaian people and it works! Ghana is one of the most peaceful nations in West Africa. There are little to no reports of ‘banditry’ and terrorism unlike in Nigeria where Fulani settlers have gradually infiltrated & subjugated the Hausas in the North, thus dominating the political space of the entire nation. Moreso, I’ll be beating a dead horse if I go on to recap all the atrocities, banditry, terrorism, killings perpetuated by this same group of people and their terrorist militia here in Nigeria. A de-tribalized mindset which has been promoted to Nigerians has given room for these foreigners to come in and wreck havoc on indigenous peoples. Nigerians now foolishly demonize tribalism not understanding the deadly consequences of not protecting your own tribe, ancestry, land and lineage. The Balanta and Manjaco tribes of Guinea Bissau work in conjunction to ensure the Fulani people do not ever get the opportunity to dominate them politically. In fact, most African countries seem to be well aware of the threat these normadic Fula terrorists pose to their national security and do not shy away from drawing the lines politically and physically. Ghana has been exceptional in doing so, thus ensuring the peace, prosperity and safety of their indigenous peoples. Some examples below:
4. Passport Ranking Ghanaian passport ranks #82 in global ranking with access to 62 countries visa free. Nigerian passport ranks #98 in global ranking with access to 45 countries visa free.
5. Currency Ghanaian Cedi to dollar = GH¢ 8.1 Nigerian Naira to dollar = N 587
6. Tourism and The Year of Return Many African Americans and African diasporans are looking to move back to the motherland and more often than others, Ghana is always the first choice of consideration; aside from Gambia, Tanzania. The “Year of Return” was introduced in 2019 in which Ghana opened its arms to all African descendants and returnees looking to relocate back to Africa. The influx of these diasporans saw a boom in Ghana’s economy as an increase in foreign investment and tourism flourished. This initiative positioned Ghana as a key travel destination for African Americans and the African Diaspora. Despite being at the forefront of afrobeats/African entertainment and culture, Nigeria is hardly a country considered by the African diaspora as a choice destination for relocation and this is due to the ever worsening situation of the country; from the harsh economic climate and changing government policies which destroy investments & businesses, to the greed and corruption, poor infrastructure, terrorism, banditry and religious extremism in the North.
You and those people paying you for this are mad .
Why don't you pack your belongings and go there and stay you will say NO .
I'm curious why don't you people move there and leave us alone here.
If you're into music, Film making, Comedy and other small businesses you will know that a disgruntled Nigeria is better than that Ghana.
Same Ghanaians that were crying every day for Nigerians to recognise and patronise them . Mumu

Those who live in glass houses, don’t throw stones, huh?
Your economy is in in a worse shape. Buhari will soon remove petrol subsidy. Na dat time una eyes go clear. Fuckeduppedness
Well...you sited Sokoto tragedy only...so i gave you the Cape Coast tragedy.
Site another, i promise to give double. Deal
Nigeria is the Giant of Africa. Take it or leave it. And please don't let Buhari change mind from giviñg Ghana Gas as soon as the Nigeria - Morocco gas pipeline commences. Don't bite the finger that feeds you. You should give that man some respect.

how much gas does nigeria supply to Ghana? Do you know the amount of gas Ghana produces from its own gas fields? you are a leaner stop disgracing yourself, huh?
You are very ignorant and ill-informed Ask your NNPC howm much gas they supply to Ghana in 2022. Ghana is even flaring 50 MMscf/d of gas because our own fields are overproducing natural gas.
That gas deal is a long term contract otherwise Ghana would have uprooted the damn pipes and sent it to you mudder fuggerx. Soon Ghana will be supplying gas to nigeria sef oh dear oh dear [s]

The West Africa gas is a consortium of companies from all 4 beneficiary countries Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana. Ghana owns 16.3 %, Benin and Togo 2 % each and Nigeria the rest of the percentage.

You sound ignoramus most at times! I know it's good to defend your country but don't do it sheepishly.
Nigerians control your economy. If we should cut the economic ties, Ghana is a goner!
Compare your village Ghana to Togo. I won't mention your neighbours Ivory Coast because they're way better.
Meanwhile hope you're watching the news? Wion to be precise

Nigeria was never a forefront for afrobeat/African entertainment and culture. Fela Kuti was a noisemaker and never was a member of the group that brought Afrobeat to Nigeria. Gold Coast (Ghana) was the original home of Afrobeat.
Parachoko: Nigeria regionalism can be base on Ethnic nationalities too eg Tiv region, Igala region, efik region etc. Or we can just make the 6 geopolitical regions the states
This current structure is failing
We need to work on a system that will favour us.
You can have whatever system that blows your cup of tea. Ndigbo want a country or nation which they can call home.

I don't need to Google what I know is a fat lie.
That's a tales by moonlight story. Anybody can claim anything. I know if you go to most countries you'll hear their own claim, just like we have in Nigeria. Some will say the Europeans first landed in Lagos, some will say no it was in escravos, others will say no, it was in Bonny and some will say it's a lie it was in Calabar.
TheNiceGuy: I don't read the whole junk. I saw education while browsing through and I can tell you why Nigeria troop into Ghanaian university is because of our limited University of unlimited population not because Ghanaian university offer best education than Nigeria.
They're not close to ranking of major Nigeria university in the world

No one true story...
The Elmina one is INCONTROVERTIBLE FACT. it's a WORLD HERITAGE SITE for God's sake. HISTORY BOOKS spoke of this fact before the advent of the internet. Even Vasco Da Gama was in Elmina on his way to the southern tip of Africa. The Portuguese bypassed the Senegal's etc and built the "dungeon" in then Gold Coast because it had plentiful gold, they met "reasonable" people etc etc
Are you not the same ekinematics on youtube channels who's anti Ghana? I don't expect you to acknowledge any Ghana "win"

I'm not arguing whether Elmina is a world heritage center or not. I believe you know that before the Portuguese got to Elmina they were already in Senegal(from which they started their African adventure) Gambia, Mauritania, Sierra Leon and Guinea? Hope you know they built a fortress in island of Anguina way before even stepping foot in the then gold coast? Hope you know they already owned Cape Verde even before heading southwards to Gold coast and then to Fernando Po's Island Aka Bioko island.
I know your own history started from when the Portuguese landed in Ghana and built a base there just to mine gold. Learn to learn your history complete. First you claimed Elmina was the first place Europeans landed in Africa. Later you edited your comment to Sub-Saharan Africa after you saw that you have miss fired, now you are spilling half history here. Go and look at the dates of the Portuguese expedition to Africa.
no wonder nigeria today is a shambolic sh1thole tell me, how many hours of electricity do you get in that zoo? what is life expectancy in Nigeria? are you aware Nigeria is officially the poverty capital of the world? people get kidnapped in that smelly zoo for a ransom of a bottle of coke and gala Abegi, Ghana is not the reason why Nigeria is what it is today. carry your frustrations to aso rock, huh? Nonsense! You control Ghana's economy? and yet you mudder fuggerx were crying when Ghana started closing down your shops in Ghana? a deluded goat in sifia pain [s]
