How much do you spend monthly on electricity bill?

I need answers from family men/women who use meter and have air conditioners, freezers and other heavy appliances.

I'm asking because it seems I'm being cheated. While waiting for my own prepaid meter, I'm using my neighbours meter. So we share the bill. But in march when the light was so bad I spent 14.5k.

Could meter be faulty?

Are u using prepaid meter? If it is analogue meter you are using, just assume any bill they bring to you as estimated billing, whether u use light or not, you will always get bills from analogue meters.

why not call an electrician or power official to come and check if the meter is faulty instead of coming to nairaland with incomplete info, to ask "shitty" questions?

No worries boss, I asked her. She pays about 11k per month on average. She lives in Lagos and has 2 other guest living with her. One grown male and a younger female. Not sure if that helps or not.

She has a TV, freezer, fridge, generator which she uses on and off, water pump, iron which she uses occasionally.

Common 14k roughly $25 of what u enjoyed for a whole 30 days is what u r shouting all over the moon and disturbing people coupled with a terrible attitude.

It depends on your area and the numbers of hours you are getting power supply daily. If you get up to 18hrs daily and you pay this amount, count yourself very lucky.

This is main reason I'm worried. In February we had constant light and my light bill was just 8k. But in march, light dropped nationwide, we barely had light for 2weeks in whole and I paid 14.5k.

So I was worried, that despite burning 95 litres of fuel I still paid more compared to when we had constant light. My neighbour is also worried, and suggested we invite an official to inspect the meter.

Around 42k per month....well mine is a dwelling house. Although this is even with proper control of air condition, heater, etc usage ooh!
