N:B: name of the insurance company witheld

I signed a 12years term with this insurance company and this year will be the 10th of constantly paying my yearly premium however, i renewed on Nov 2 last year only for me to be be mailed by them that i missed my last premium payment after i demanded my StOfAcc.

I sent them proof of payment and after their authentication, they discovered that i actually paid but the finance team made a mistake by crediting my money to another clients policy. The downside is the client shortly after the payment was made, surrendered his policy.

My question is this.....while waiting for them to iron their stuff out which i don't know how long it will take, is it likely they will treat my policy for breach of contract at the end of my contract?
I heard these insurance companies if you default a payment, at the end of your contract term with them, they will deduct all your defaults.
Anyone whos knowledgeable should help me so i know how to address this issue.

you never missed a payment, you never did anything wrong (they did)....so why should there be any problem from your part?
