This assertion is just my opinion and I really can't help but think that relationships/marriages are damn overrated... Or course, I'm made to understand that even the Bible recommends that a man should marry a woman, but the way it's been talked about these days like it's some trophy is what I can't really understand. Many ladies can't find happiness and fulfillment unless they are in a relationship, they come into the relationship with so much expectations and when those expectations aren't met, they opt out and continue that trend.. Even men sef, we don't help matters really.. can't y'all just dey your dey? And then u find many men being pressured to settle down.. even after settling, they aren't even settled. Many haven't discovered their purpose in life yet you see them carry relationship matter for head. So what's the fuse about a man and a woman coming together to become one?

The Bible, or better yet scripture, insists instead that marriage is for some, not all and in no way does scripture suggest that those marriage are more blessed or any of the other lies fed the multitudes from the pulpits pretending to be of God.

As a matter of fact, God is said to have cursed marriage from the beginning- Genesis 3 vs 16 - assuring that all those who are married under that curse will not find happiness and joy or even His peace in said marriage, so those who pretend they find God's joy, happiness, peace, in marriage delude themselves by such lies. undecided

thats because in Nigerian society, marriage is synonymous with happiness... to most Nigerians, you cant possibly be happy unless you are married. thats why you can be as successful as you want but if you are single, people will tell you to go and get married (if in doubt, ask Linda Ikeji, Don Jazzy or Genevieve).

the pressure of marriage is so big, men and women are desperately marrying useless donkeys, just to get out of the social/religious/family/peer PRESSURE of being unmarried.
