Know Your Grace 2

“Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,” Romans 1:5 (NKJV)

The word apostleship in our opening scripture refers to commission. This means that every commission has a grace. That is why I tell people to pray before joining a church.

For instance, in our ministry we don't struggle when it comes to money. It is a grace that goes with the commission. So for every ministry, when God commissions you, there are certain things He has assigned you to do.

When God called me He said, “Set forth a standard.” That was the latter part of 1995. And I answered, “Sir, I am a small boy.” I started listing all the big names of ministers I knew within and outside the nation. And He said, “That is why I am sending you.”

What does it mean to set forth a standard? To set forth a standard is to become a role model. Secondly, a standard is a reference point. Hence, to set forth a standard, you need to have grace because there are people who have done this before you but for you to become a reference point God has to grace you for it.

Therefore because of the grace on this commission, when you join this commission even if you were the least in your family, you will start finding yourself ahead of the others in your family. It is because of the grace on the ministry. Praise God.
