The only thing that is being cracked down on is the military budget.

We must trace terrorists to where they sleep, where they gather and meet, where they pray. Surveillance, surveillance, and more strikes...

"Worried by the incessant killing of soldiers by terrorists and other criminals in some parts of the country, especially the North, some retired army generals have called on the concerned authorities to urgently halt the dangerous trend."

Who are these ex-retired generals?
They should be calling for return to military rule in Nigeria. That is the right thing and the best solution, but they would never say so because Fulanis and Hausas are still in power. Wait until the southerner gets power back, all these ex-retired generals will be on the record calling for the return to military rule. I am so ashamed of them on their hypocritical comments.

i am really in favor of Nigeria returning to military rule for many reasons. First, when military was in power in Nigeria, banditry and kidnapping were never heard of. Second, military is an expert in protection and security of the country and its citizens---something Nigerians are missing in civilian rule. And third, military regime do not take prisoner, they simply kill criminals at their locations.

Bandits, Boko and Unknown gunmen as laboratory specimens by now.

MonkeyMods:
The most annoying part of the insecurity in this country is that the commander in chief of the armed forces has not openly condemned this evil going on.
What practical move has he taken?

The only thing he does is to issue lame statements through his empty headed assistants

While he sits in his bedroom picking his rotten teeth

And now the worst of them all is queuing up and fighting dirty to become president of his street's monthly meeting

What the FG and many Nigerians have masked as "Terrorism, Banditry etc" is in fact an Islamic jihad! One which has the full support of Muhammadu Buhari!
So, asking him to fight or condemn a war he's prosecuting in collaboration with other Islamic irredentists is like asking a mom to deny her only child...

So sad , the General we voted is a non performing General , indeed wisdom is better than weapons of war . We need a wise man to take over the saddle of power and use wisdom to tackle issues . What we are seeing today is not what guns can stop.. we must think out of the box.. A leader must come to come and negotiate with the militias and take guns from them.. it is getting too much

The security situation currently being witnessed in this country is downright embarrassing to be honest. This all boils down to the failure of our intelligence services. They need to step up their game, keep she'd of these murderers, and prevent strikes before the occur.

Sniff out moles hiding within your agencies and quietly silence them, get drones equipped with night vision/thermal imaging, track and neutralise these beasts wherever they exist. This is doable I believe.

Infiltrate their financial systems. Track the movement of their finds, neutralise their enablers.

Once these are done, while not ignoring improving on education (especially in the North) and job creation/employment, we should be on our way to paradise.

May God help Nigeria.
you are correct, instead of spending billions to buy outdated ancient super tucanos and helicopters that will be blown out of the skies by an RPG what they will rather do is to form a UAV battalion that will effectively monitor the terrain, how can thousands of bandits congregate move and execute operations in Nigeria without the security services knowing about it,UAV is the future of intelligence and military operations

Buhari will take security from the front while Osinbajo will handle the economy.
Little did these clowns know that security and economy are inextricably intertwined.

Notice that no core Muslim Northern General joined in the complaint. Na so so Christian northern minority and southern generals. The north should tell us of thier plan to create a caliphate to rule Nigeria.

EKONGKING:
Definitely the number of soldiers ,police and other security people killed are under reported.
Look at Russia and Ukraine , each side is not ready to give true number of soldiers killed in war .
Then how can u expect a country like Nigeria which is not fighting a war or terrorists ,but fighting ordinary businessmen aka bandits to give true picture.
No country loses such number in a war with other nations would ever feel comfortable with it yet its happening within Nigeria but our darling daddy is so comfortable with it. His body language has shown. I learnt the UK denied him clearance into the UK and asked him to deal with the local issues bedevelling his people and in effect, the presidency tagged the eatlier information announced about Buhari's 20 days annual leave in the UK to be false. See confusion grin . Like you said, the number is even under-reported. They should be more than 1000. When a number of casualties is reported in Nigeria by this government, you should just multiply it by 2 because they'd never report the right figure . The recent conflicting number of terrorists' victims during the Abuja-kaduna train attack is a further proof.
By the way, I still wonder why our youths still join the Nigeria army under this administration. Accepting military employment is worse than accepting a death sentence under this administration.

Why these ex generals be acting like they are not actors of this menace? They are the recruiters of these kidnappers and bandits. Who don't know their antics. Our army top hierarchy are involved. Nigeria security network is compromised. It has been infiltrated.

When Erdogan Taqqip of Turkey invited and later visited mumu president buhari some months back, the old foolish arrogant president to warn him about infiltration but he refused to yield

The Nigerian army are more interested in burning down peoples homes in the east than the job of protecting themselves and the civilians populace. As long as they flog civilians in the east and burn down their houses they are happy and satisfied.

How are they going to get information when our DSS should be out trying to get information to help. Hausa DSS are busy looking for Kanu and chief Sunday that could be approached by a single call. They will use all resources available for them but do the opposite for terrorists.

Really don't know whose side the government is on.

Certainly not the civilian population, most probably not even with the soldiers.

They always give them amnesty.
