So yesterday night after the Chelsea Madrid match I decided to buy suya which has been my routine since I moved to Abuja last year. When I got home with the suya, I noticed how silky the paper was but I was busy enjoying the meat to take note only to notice this morning while trying to dispose the suya wrapper that it was wrapped with two sheets torn from the book of Deutronomy.
I just giggled to myself because I know what would've been the fate of the suya man if it was the other way round.

You Christians would not buy suya wrapped in Arabic Quran. You'd claim it's juju to convert you to Islam, and wouldn't even buy suya if it were on English Quran.

Now, if only I could get me a printer to print me reams of paper with Quran and Bible on either side, and then if I could sell you all suya with Salam Alaikum to the Muslim, and Peace of the Lord to the Christian.

Name of the suya joint would be There is Only One Suya, confusing enough for most to wonder as both sides wouldn't be able to agree who should burn me, which just might end up as my unique selling point.

I'm thinking, first branch in Kano. Second in Aba. Then third in more liberal Lagos. Got to start this where the greatest impact would be felt.
