The thing is DAT ppl can differentiate between kindness and nice ness. nice ppl do things to make ppl love or seek validation from ppl. Nice ppl are not so disciplined. Some are actually kind and nice. Kind discipline man knows when to show kindness n knows when ppl are trying to exploit him. You are not alone in this Brother. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with being good, but if it affects your finances, you have to adjust. The reward of being good is enormous. I'm currently on this boat and I'm in a mess. I've been a broke ass until I got a car on hire purchase. The first 2months was bliss on my taxi business until the husband of my neighbor who has been giving me credit on food stuff and water asked if I am into taxi. That was the beginning of my problem and defaulting to balance. He will call me from anywhere and anytime to come take him somewhere. He will ask me to wait at times 2hrs 3hrs and more before returning. At times the journey would be stops upon stops. Now I default payment cos 5k on a day he uses me is impossible. Most times he pays after 4 or 5 of such trips (10k max) I'm just too cowardly to complain even though I'm tired. |

In my case, I used to find it difficult to say no to request even at my expense. I had to called myself to order and researched how to turn down people's request without hurting them, then I stumbled into the below acronym DEAR MAN DESCRIBE, EXPRESS, ASSERT, REINFORCE, MINDFUL, APPEAR CONFIDENCE AND NEGOTIATE. Solofresh2: Guy, if you want to get married, have kids and build a good and strong family with values and virtues then you have to balance your soft heartedness with a hard one sometimes at least make it 50/50. Don't be too soft and don't be too hard! That's the only way you can be a good husband, dad, brother, friend who is of high value and worth. As a man,you must be firm in some situations,if it's a Yes, then it is a Yes,if it's a No, you stand by it! As for your conscience,you have to train it to walk according to your subconscious mind!
