It just made news that the LASG shutdown Chrisland school INDEFINITELY because of an alleged rape incident that was actually not rape but consensual sex by extremely immoral underage 10yr old kids. The video recording of the sexual act on the internet proves this.

Now, my question is WHY didn't the LASG shutdown its own BRT transport INDEFINITELY when it was proven beyond doubt that a female passenger, Oluwabamise Ayanwole, was brutally raped, killed and mutilated by a BRT driver and his accomplices right inside the BRT bus. https://guardian.ng/opinion/justice-for-oluwabamise-ayanwole/

Why is there this high level of repugnant hypocrisy from the Lagos government? I don't understand. Till today, the BRT management were not held accountable, BRT continues to operate freely like the incident never happened and the LASG treats her murder like an irrelevant murder statistics.

Good point. I hope is not a way to milk money from the schools instead of providing justice.

Schools are on holiday now, so shutting down will not affect student.

you need to check yourself very well if you don't understand the point that the Op is trying to point out there, are Lagos residents trekking before BRT came?

@RedEnergy

You rapist defenders are just so slow.

Lagos state government shuts down Chrisland school over Child pornography, endangerment
and negligent.

Mr. Nice, your hero BRT rapist doesn't own nor manage the BRT and is in fact in custody.
I see no sense in shutting down BRT when the serial rapist is already sitting in jail.

Stop typing trash. The girl in the BRT was raped and murdered in cold blood by a BRT transport staff and his accomplices, BRT owned by your Lagos government and LASG didn't shutdown their operations. But when a little slut that wasn't raped but willfully had a consensual sex orgy with her fellow underage classmates, your hypocritical LASG hurriedly shutdown the school indefinitely. Shutdown over "child pornography, endangerment
and negligent" Is that the best lie you can concoct? So the school distributed porn or allowed 10yr old students to watch porn? Same school that took them to Dubai for an educational competition and they were more than 50 students. Bury your head in shame. #justiceforoluwabamise

This has nothing to do with that. If this rape crime was committed by private Transport company, they would have shut it down.

We need to fact check before we post and comment on issues, the rape occurred on a bus enroute Ajah to Oshodi. And I can categorically say the buses plying those route were shotdown for several month. Am sure commutters who ply that route dailty through the brt bus can attest to these. Or were you expecting the shutdown of the entire system.

I know this topic will hardly make front page.

The op have a point, BRT is directly making huge money to state pocket why chrisland school is a private business which as paid this year's charges to the Lagos state government, so if the school is suspended it's still a win for the state government but if BRT is suspended it's a great lose for the state government.
Even when investigation was still going on BRT was fully functional. Just like someone rightly asked were people trekking before the introduction of BRT ?

Please let always treat cases equally never been bais

The OP has a valid point- both business owners have the duty of care of persons under their watch/care but the two authorities failed by not ensuring their safety either by hiring people with questionable character or not keeping watch over the children in their care. However, LASG is protecting her investment while punishing another for the same crime of negligence. Unfortunately, Chrisland has more children to protect, more children at risk, so they truly deserve the sanction...hopefully, they'll come out of this better. I suppose LASG is saying the adults on BRT are just going to have to protect themselves undecided

1) Individual commit rapes, not Transport companies.
2) The BRT staff , didn't just commit rape but murder and he is in custody, to be arraigned for trial in court.
3) The Chrisland matter is totally different.
The school has a responsibility to protect the physical, mental and moral dignity of the (under-aged) children under their custody.
An investigation should be carried out to ascertain what truly happened and those found wanting should be sanctioned.
