For that budget and your intention,
A laptop with the following specs will serve;
Core i7 at least.
256gb SSD at least, you can get 1tb HDD as external drive for storing heavy files.
2.6ghz processor speed at least.
8gb Ram at least.
Keyboard backlight.
6hrs battery back up at least.
Slim and lightweight.
