What's the difference between "twit" and "tweet"?
Of course, Google has the answer.
All Asiwaju haters are searching frantically to find faults with him.
Besides, Tinubu, like the rest of humanity, is a mere mortal.
No one is above mistake, assuming he even made a mistake.

Is ok Mr man u have proven behind reasonable doubt that twitting is an English word I commend ur effort for doing that.

But am still sure that old man don't know what he is talking about because no youth or rather nobody is teasing anybody in WhatsApp. Because WhatsApp is not like Facebook or Twitter. So to my own thinking the man made a mistake by using Whatsapp instead of Twitter.

In a nutshell TWITTING means to banter playfully and we do that all the time via EVERY means of communication including whatsapp

TWITTING on Whatsapp simply means to banter playfully because the word TWITTING means to banter playfully.

And no you do not ONLY chat on whatsapp, you chat via EVERY means of communication and it is not exclusive to Whatsapp.

You chat orally, via email, via telephone, via SMS messaging etc

I agree bro, but in this context tinubu didn't mean twitting. The author of the article may have misspelled the word

But some asiwaju lovers on the thread have said there's a difference between "twit" and "tweet". So am not sure where u came from.

Can u pls identify the hate which u say people are hating Tinubu based on "twit" and "tweet"? Is it his "haters" that made him say "tweet on WhatsApp"?

Indeed Tinubu did not mean TWEETING. Contextually he meant TWITTING which is a word for ALL social media playful banter or general playful banter across all forms of communication which includes WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, real-life, email, sms, telephone, etc

Again i will educate you for the last time, not because of you but because of your community who are looking up to you as the most educated fool in the land

In your first post, you said "twitting" not "tweeting", and i responded base on your stupidity

NOW GET SOME LECTURE
In British English (the one Nigeria system adopted as our official language)

TWITTING is a present participle of verb
TWEETING is also a verb but gerund participle

Twit is a noun and the verb is twitted; twitting.
Tweet is also a noun but the verb is tweeted; tweeting; tweets

Next time if you want to defend something like, use "tweeting" instead of "Twitting" because the two words mean two different things

So for you to have mumuciously rushed out here to defend rubbish, using "twitting" instead of "tweeting" really shows that you are the most decorated educated slowpoke in your community
And it's a pity, because you are the eyes of your community

I'M DONE EDUCATING EMPTY SKULL

Mumu stop disgracing your parents here.
The word twitting was used by Tinubu. Generation of social media app. Your brain is damaged. Twitting can be done on any platform. Decomposed brain!

CHATTING is a generic act which can be done via any means be it written or orally.

Chatting is not an exclusive preserve to Whatsapp. How did you guys manage to pass through school with these abysmal levels of intelligence for God's sake? undecided

TWEETING is for Twitter and not TWITTING.

TWITTING is a generic term for BANTER.

I meant twitting. My auto-correct made the mistake. I am only insinuating that the article may not be tinubu's original speech. The writer may have wrote twitting, instead of tweeting.

I may be wrong.

My point is that tweeting (recall they are homonyms) in colloquial use means posting on Twitter, therefore, Tinubu's target audience on hearing the word will associate with it the aforementioned meaning.

The word 'tweeting' , actually gained traction after Twitter was established, so tweeting generally is associated with Twitter, just accept that it was a gaffe by BAT, and move on , while hoping he doesn't release another one
