Why Jonathan Would Be A Failure by LOIUSXIV: 6:27pm On Jul 08, 2011
IN 2007,being caressed by the warm breeze at the family patio,my mum dismissed my statement.''its too early to write off MR. YAR' ADUA,'' SHE SAID.''BUT THE MORNING DETERMINES THE  DAY'', I REPLIED.today, had  MR. YAR 'ADUA lived(R.I.P), little would have changed in respect of the ''Revolution'', nigerians hope for.fast-forward 4years, the symptoms of Presidential failure remains inseparable from the  political-economic machinery that is nigeria; GENERATOR MAFIA ,HAULAGE MAFIA,NNPC  E.T.C.
MR. JONATHAN came into office as a result of the goodwill of nigerians?GOODWILL,ABEG TAKE IT BACK!nigerians  voted for Jonathan as a result of the landlord-serf mentality that has somewhat become part of our existence.in other climes, MR. JONATHAN would have been soundly defeated!we are the cause of our own problems.while it is obvious that Jonathan's party ,the P.D.P has destroyed the ''destiny'' of millions of  nigerians since 1999,nigerians voted against change, ironically.JONATHAN, HAS NOT DEMONSTRATED THE MUSCULAR GRIP NECESSARY TO CLEAN OUT THE mafia.gradually, he is enjoying the ''SYSTEM''.COST OF GOVERNANCE? GOODLUCK,appointed over 30 ministers!24 special advisers! yeh.MR. PRESIDENT ,unlike TUNDE IDIAGBON,is not macho enough to cut of the head of '' MEDUSA''that has  been our horrific cost of governance.80% of Nigeria's income goes to just 1% of the population!(government salaries, jumbo pay, contractors)the same MINISTERS with questionable characters being appointed, and Nigerians wait for change?MR. ADOKE  gave vacuous answers to SENATE query in respect of 300 million dollars halliburton scandal, yet he was cleared.MRS. ALLISON can't quel the rumours of NEPOTISM IN RESPECT  OF THE LUCRATIVE oil-lifting,YET,SHE WAS CLEARED.and how can you separate the man from the party?tony ANENIH can't explain 300 billion naira!(road funds,WHILE, HE WAS MINISTER).the'' DON CORLEONE'' OF THE P.D.P,MR.OBASANJO,can't explain 16billion dollars!(power projects).YEH,its easy to be a failure in ASO ROCK BECAUSE  no ex-pres has ever been dealt with, in respect of corruption.as usual,at the of the tenure, the cliche would come up again'' HE TRIED, ''. WHAT is needed to deliver the dividends of democracy is not only strong institutions but STRONG MEN.and in that category MR.JONATHAN FALLS SHORT,by a THOUSAND MILES.

I think its disrespectful and too harsh to throw this at the President.

In terms of his getting grip on the affairs, I agree he lacks clue of where to begin or what to do.

He is depending on his ministers and aides to point and shepherd the regime's directioin and decisions.

Gej was VP for four years, and President for few last months of the last regime.

Adequate time in the executive wing to develop some competency in leading.

He should be the shepherd and not the sheep!

I didn't care to read those trash up there but this kind headline turns me off. This kind of tantrum on Mr President is enough. Are you his God? While all this negative talk about the President? What crime did he commit?

From the replies to you post, I can confidently and without bias conclude that your article is a failure!!

If you fail in just writing an article, what moral justification do you have to describe someone who has one of the most difficult jobs in the world as a failure.

The guy hasn't even started his 4 year term and you adjudge him a failure. You wey don fail woefully  in writing just a 5 line article finish get mouth to judge!!

Let he who is without sin be the first to cast a stone!!!

correction GEJ has been a full president for over 1 year.So all this arguement that he has not even started is all rubbish. He has been VP for 3 and president for 1 year already.

when Yaradua became President,'Rule of law' was his favorite tune, thank God for wikileaks that exposed some happenings while the late president was alive. As for Jonathan, lets watch for the so called 'dividends of democracy'. May God spare us all to live to 2015 and beyond then we will see what becomes of GEJ.

Na wa oo. Nigerians ehn! I tire nor be small.

See as dem finish the guy.
Ok, we should wait till the end of GEJ's tenure before we tackle him? Ok, because he's got one of the most difficult job in the world means, he should be excused?  We probably should wait for another 4 years and then conclude that' shebi "call don enter voice mail again" ?

If you are being criticised, shouldn't you change you style.
I strongly feel GEJ can do things in a better way. He can really improve.

From his first year as president coupled with this new mandate, tell me what has changed and how things have improved?

We should call a spade a spade! In-activity and incompetence shouldn't be excused what so ever.

Cheers

Nice one OP.
I'll tell you his main recipe for failure
It is having supporters who think you're a saint and can do no wrong, they will jump out and defend the indefensible.
Anyone who does not worship 'saint GEJ' is an almajiri
Anyone who criticises his ineptitude and points out the facts is ''against the south/christianity''
A leader surrounded by sycophants is sure a disaster waiting to happen.
Please OP keep saying the fact as it is, it takes guts to go against the grain in speaking the truth.
