I am not in support of the secession of southern sudan from sudan, as far as I am concerned it is a sad day for Africa,we are all black people, why should we be divided, Europe, Americas and Asia are looking towards bringing their people together,but rather we Africans are looking for ways of dividing ourselves. Its a big shame!!!, this wasn't the plan of our founding fathers who fought for independence in different African countries. This is yet another classic scenario why Africa is under developed. It is indeed a sad day. |

You only need to read/understand the oppression which the southerners have undergone,then you will join in celebrating. What you should be asking is why the south suffered under the North leading to genocide and poverty yet thy have much resources. It been a long journey full of tears pain and deaths and the only way was liberation. Why shud south sudanese be refugees in neighbouring countries? These r people that were forced to eat each other's dead bodies out of hunger as they fled from genocide thru the hyena infested deserts and bcame refugess. Time to return now. Read abt where this conflict started,the journey,the late Garang ,peace efforts till now.Then ul pop a glass of champaign. |
