Media control , they want to control world media and information especially when the information running thought your site is raw and reveals facts , eg the war in Ukraine, what the superpower does is to buy over trough a third party and put constraints on the public opinion, 2023 is coming nairaland might be a threat to an agenda , tweeter is a case study here

Funny generation a serious buyer wouldn't advertise it this way. He would reach out to the owner who is also on Twitter this is just a media stunt

Seun

Space booked.

Seun Osewa is a Billionaire who won't sell his ONLY Popular Digital Property for just 1 Billion Naira.

He was a Billionaire before Akintayo became one (and this is if he truly is one already).

Besides; Seun loves to stay indoor. He wouldn't even visit Aso Rock when Specially Invited by The President of Nigeria. So, he isn't someone that would be interested in getting lands for his Digital Lifestyle to be Switched off.

So, don't stress.

This cannot work.

If He knows what he can achieve with Nairaland within the next 10 years; then he should make one of his website achieve it or start his personal forum if this isn't just a Publicity Stunt as Usual.
