How I Was Defrauded Of My Phone by asamfem(m): 7:54am On Apr 27, 2022
I'm writing this with the hope that anyone who reads this won't fall victim like me.
It all happened around 11 AM on the morning of Saturday 23rd of April, 2022.

I was standing at point A looking for a bike to ride with, one bike man then signal to me asking if I was going, I nod in affirmative, told him my destination (Point C) and as I was about to climb the bike, another guy came, he said he's going to point Z, which is the last bus stop on that route. So he sat behind me and the bike moved.

Just after riding a little, the bike stopped at point B, the rider pretended as if the bike developed a fault and it's not the first time such would be happening, so he already knew how to resolve it.

I and the other supposed passenger alighted asking what happened to the bike, the rider then asked us to help him lift the bike a little at the back. While trying to lift the bike, I was holding my phone ( a new Redmi Note 10 PRO 8/128GB), the supposed passenger told me to keep the phone in my pocket so I could lift it well, I then kept the phone in the left pocket of my trouser, whereas the guy was at my right side, the rider then ask me to come and lift the bike at the right side, while moving to the right side, I removed the phone from my pocket and held it, the fellow passenger told me to keep the phone in my pocket so we could raise it Well and the bike could start. I returned the phone to my left pocket. My left pocket is now directly by his right unlike the first time when no one was at the left side where I kept the phone.

Immediately I dropped my phone to lift the bike, the other passenger had joined the rider on bike and they zoomed off instantly, they've successfully carried out their plans.
I sensed Immediately they are thieves working together and my phone is surely gone, I touched my pocket, the phone was nowhere to be found.

All these happened within 1 minute, I was already feeling uncomfortable with those guys even before the bike stopped, their look and appearance tell it all, but i ignored my instinct, as I had no idea the passenger that joined me on bike is an accomplice to the rider.

Can't imagine how I was successfully tricked, and I was foolishly lifting bike like they spoke to me with jazz.

My shout of thief as they were going was fruitless, bikes coming behind had passengers, the one without passenger said he can't follow them after telling him those guys are escaping with my phone, another bike that stopped by also said he can't chase after them.

The few people that gathered near me discouraged me from following them, saying we don't know where they might be going, and they may have weapons on them too.

They stole my phone successfully, I'm yet to get over the pain, no hope of getting another phone yet. Is it this 33k corper's allawee that will buy me another phone?Words can't describe my feelings, that phone is now around #200k.

I used to pity thieves before, anywhere I see people beating thief now, don't think i can ever feel any iota of pity for them anymore.
Guys, don't entertain strangers at all and stay vigilant 24/7.
Never fall for this kind of scope or similar formats.

Any thief caught and loose all my car Tyres and give for the idiot to be burn to ashes.

It's not your fault, bro. Don't blame yourself. They all got it planned out.

These are one of many reasons to tell you how evil humans are. Humans are ready to cause another human intense pain if it will make them happy.

I'm so sorry.

When I first came to PH. The busstop of the place I stayed had a battalion of beggars. One day, I tipped a beggar ₦500 after he narrated his sorry story. My friend reprimanded and told me how he doesn't give any of them shishi and that they all are career beggars.

I no dey hear word.

Another time, I was sharing ₦100 each to the grownups. Could you believe these pastards had to guts to steal my Google Pixel? Google Pixel wey I buy don dey feel say I don dey complete gadgets wey I need.

They all saw me as Onyeoma CY.

I saw so angry. I was no weary. But I had to let it go since I realised it was missing when I was on the way.

Another time I was to ply that route, I didn't even give a damn to any of them. I noticed one who came and told his story and all that, I bone. As the motor was about to leave, I say make I turn back...if you see the kind waka this man wey no dey see or hear dey give me eh.

Mehn. 99% of beggars in parks are career beggars. And the remaining 1% left because they also know the rest have made them look like thieves.

Always have it at the back of your mind that any time you step out of your house you are heading towards the jungle so you need to be extra vigilant on the street at all times.

"Bro pls can I see you for a minute"
"Sorry can you show me where so and so is"

OP, don't blame urself cos it can happen to anybody.

I remembered when i had almost same experience years back, i told my very closest friend and he laughed.
Just 2 weeks later, he experienced same tin and his own was twice in one week but he was wise at the second attempt.

He couldn't even tell me cos he was ashamed, i heard it frm his elder broda.

We just have to be wise and pray to God..

I already pay police to help with the tracking and was told that would be possible when they insert sim and start using it, if I lock it, the thief won't use it and it will be gone forever. Thats what I'm considering. Thanks boss
