Statistics have shown that the South-East is the least registered zone in the country, It is regrettable to read in the most news outlet that only 35,000 new voters have been recorded in all the 17 local government areas in Enugu state since the nine months the CVR commenced.

Enugu Youth Organization (EYO) whose one of its objectives is to strategically engage youths resident in Enugu to actively participate in electoral processes, including but not limited to voter education and mobilization, mitigation of electoral violence, and actual voting activities have taken up the mantle to enlighten and mobilise citizenry and residents to obtain their voter cards.

Enugu youth is calling on all eligible persons who have turned 18 years and have not registered before should go and register in each of the INEC offices in the 17 local government areas of the state and the INEC state office in Enugu.

The door to door awareness campaign is conducted across the 17 local government areas in Enugu State.
