Are There Any Fluent Ekiti Speaker On Nl Who Are Willing To Teach The Dialect? by Nobody: 12:55am On Jul 11, 2011 |
Since nobody still comes to this dried part of the website, I'm not expecting any show. But it's worth to give it a try. Any Ekiti speaker on NL should help me out here. Ekiti is a very different, special, beautiful dialect I'm willing to learn. Here are the requirements: 1. FLUENT Ekiti speaker. Plz, I dont want anyone to teach me garbage. 2. Willing to come on NL atleast 3 days a week, with interest in Ekiti language. No, I'm not paying anybody, I no be Adenuga's daughter. 3. Professionalism. No childish and immature expression. I simply do not have the time or patience to babysit anyone. 4. Everything is on NL. I can understand the tone alright. Understand and speaking a language are two diff things, I've realized. |

Negro_Ntns: In all seriousness, I'm not playing with this thread. I'm trying to learn my dialect. I've been learning small small. My family speaks it, so I understand it very very well. But I need to speak it too. |

Well I dont thnk you can really understand the language through Nairaland or by learning online. You will still need to know how to pronounce the language. I can speak the language to an extent if you want some questions anyway. Try and be listening to some Ekiti songs, I can remember only Elemure. It will help you on pronunciation. |

alj_harem: Lol, you originally posted here (before you edited) that the dialect was "mixed with Bini." Did you edit because is makes your Nairaland character more liable to be seen as a 100% Yoruba man or because the claim about the Ekiti dialect was completely false? Just wondering. |
