Topic: Who do you worship?
Bible Verse:

Genesis 24: 26-27
The man knelt down and worshipped the Lord. He said, “Praise the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has faithfully kept his promise to my master. The Lord has led me straight to my master’s relatives.”

Exodus 20: 2-3
“I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you were slaves. “Worship no god but me.

Ecclesiastes 4: 1
Then I looked again at all the injustice that goes on in this world. The oppressed were weeping, and no one would help them. No one would help them because their oppressors had power on their side.

Daniel 6: 20 -21
When he got there, he called out anxiously, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was the God you serve so loyally able to save you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “May your Majesty live forever! God sent his angels to shut the mouths of the lions so that they would not hurt me. He did this because he knew that I was innocent and because I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”

Mathew 4: 10
The Jesus answered, “Go away, Satan! The scripture says, ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!” ‘

Reflection
***What does it mean to worship? To worship means to glorify, adore and praise God for his goodness and mercy towards you.

**Do you worship God? The first question that comes to one’s mind is which God I am referring to. I refer to the creator of heaven and earth, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God that delivered the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians and lead his people to the promise land. The God that called to Moses the prophet in the burning bush, and instructed him to tell the Israelites his people who were under oppression that He has heard their cries and suffering, and promised to rescue them from their oppressor. The God that sent his only begotten Son to save us from eternal damnation.

**Why should you worship God? We should worship God because he is our creator; he created the heavens and earth. Since God is the creator of all that exists, any other being claiming to be god is just a small god who cannot stand in the presence of his creator.

**Do you worship the Devil? Do you serve the destroyer? Why do you serve the Devil? Don’t you know that the Devil hates humanity and seeks to destroy us? If you choose to serve the Devil, he would just us you as an agent of destruction to cause harm to your friends, families, and well-wishers. Before he then finally destroys you. He gives you what you request of him with his right hand but he takes it back from you with his left hand five times what he has given to you. He is the deceiver, what do you gain from doing his bidding knowing full well that he doesn’t love you. He is a destroyer and not a creator, a hater and not a lover. Please let us be careful of what we wish for, because whoever invites the destroyer into his life is already doomed.

**Do you worship yourself? Do you see yourself as a god? Do you refuse to worship God? You should be aware that you are just a small god, and will always remain a small god. Those who do this are playing a dangerous game. This is an illusion they present to themselves. For it is written by their actions you shall know them. These individual proclaiming gods perform good and bad actions. They say they are not for the devil or neither for God. They will be dealt with specially, because of their rebellion against God the creator of heaven and earth if they refuse to repent form their evil ways.


***Why should I be loyal to whom I worship? We should be loyal because there is a reward that awaits faithful worshipers and unfaithful worshipers.
