Job Title: ACCOUNTANT

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Must be a Chartered Accountant
· Competency in MS Office, databases and Accounting software
· Accuracy and attention to detail.
· Aptitude for numbers.
· Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
· Data entry and word processing skills
· Relevant experience in similar job role is an added advantage.
· Computer literacy, MS Office in particular
· Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
· Strong time management skills
· Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

· MIN QUALIFICATION:
· Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accountancy or any related field
· Proven Experience working as an accountant in a reputable organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Carrying out of Banking transaction e.g. lodgments and withdrawal of cash / cheque
· Updating of trade debtors & creditors ledgers
· Preparation of Bank Reconciliation Report.
· Filling of accounting documents into the respective flies.
· Assist in preparation of receipts into the accounting software.
· Assist in raising invoices and receipts in-favor of customers.
· Preparation of purchase invoices.
· Prepares & reporting weekly, Monthly, quarterly & annually financial statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information and trends.
· Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; and developing recommendations to the management.
· Complies with state and federal tax filling requirement by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; advising management on required actions; calculating monthly and annually estimated tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annually tax filling.
· Updating and creation of Charts of account, project job numbers on Peach tree / Navision ERP.
· Creation and posting of payment vouchers on the accounting software
· Preparation & updating of other statutory returns – Pension funds.
· Preparation of monthly payroll.
· Preparation of staff loan agreement and loan ledgers
· Updating of the general ledger in the ERP accounting software
· Keeping & updating of Fixed Assets Registers
· Excellent team player.
