A most unfortunate thing happened to Kenya. Famous international designer Louis Vutton pattented the famous Maasai's traditional wear, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. This should serve as a wakeup call to Africa. If there is absolutely any cultural thing that can be pattented i suggested we hurry because one there is money in culture and two there are people outside Africa prying for rights to our heritage. |

so all u care about is to make money with ur culture, eh   go bak to ur jesus christ and gain salvation. u guyz return to traditional culture only for the cash and fame, and the rest of d tym u spend in church. |

No dont be ashamed because its not exactly ur fault; its jus the society and the way things run these days. u cant patent or do whatever with it, as long as u really mean to do it from your heart. u must follow that culture, that religion, that path, and only then will u truly have the right to do as u please with it, because then, it is yours.  |

That is unfortunate.  Cheapening their culture like that. On the bright side, maybe it will get people interested in the culture who otherwise wouldn't be. |
