A most unfortunate thing happened to Kenya. Famous international designer Louis Vutton pattented the famous Maasai's traditional wear, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. This should serve as a wakeup call to Africa. If there is absolutely any cultural thing that can be pattented i suggested we hurry because one there is money in culture and two there are people outside Africa prying for rights to our heritage.

9ja you have a point. I may not have intended it that way but come to think of it that is how it sounds. Am so embarassed, good thing my face aint on my profile so i cant be known Lol. But good point though. But be it as it may should we just leave it unpatented in the name of true love?

No dont be ashamed because its not exactly ur fault; its jus the society and the way things run these days. u cant patent or do whatever with it, as long as u really mean to do it from your heart. u must follow that culture, that religion, that path, and only then will u truly have the right to do as u please with it, because then, it is yourswink

That is unfortunate. cry Cheapening their culture like that. On the bright side, maybe it will get people interested in the culture who otherwise wouldn't be.
