I bought a course on udemy
100 days of web development by maximalian schwarzmuller

And i also apply for the Alx software development program (already admitted) but i don't think i can do 14 hours a day cos of electricity, data, side hustle.

Cam this udemy course suffice to make me a web developer?

What other course(s) can i apply for to make me a pro?
Like a graduate of Alx africa software developer

Is the udemy Course Enough To Make One An Advanced Web Developer?

14 hours is too much though.
Re: Alx africa vs Udemy ? by kuljoe4: 10:06pm On May 07, 2022
Its pretty advance, so yeah go through with it but at your own pace, 14 hours is just insane, you're going to burnout easily when it comes to complex stuffs like javascript and the backend aspects, take it easy.

Alx isn't beginners friendly, you'll need to put in a lot of hours to understand the foundation concepts. But if you can scale through, you'll understand the foundations of programming well and nothing would shake you.

A 14hours a day or even 7hours a day, every day program training is another way to say 'you will never be able to program'- it is intimidating and unrealistic. Trust me most student will drop out in 1 month. Programming requires few mins or hours of learning and several hours of practice. Alx program doesn't seem to have been designed by Africans because they seem to forgot that hardly do any African have 14hours of power supply or data in one day.
If their plan is to program for few minutes and practice for hours, then it's a good idea but maybe not 14hours at a time. Udemy will be self paced and not take forever to learn.
The Udemy course you purchase will not teach you everything but will give you a good knowledge and also show you the next step. You may need to buy more videos later or follow YouTube channels that will train you.

The 14hrs is just an exaggeration from alx,
It the first 1-2 month that you spend like 2 to 5 hrs, when you finally get acquainted to it you spend less hours, also it not an everyday thing after the first month, project today pld the next day.

Indeed sir but we don't spend 14hrs in there. I think the whole reason for that was to keep the students for the worse. We're usually given two projects daily
