The Word of God says in Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Also note this, 1 Samuel 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

This means, nothing can work if not by the Spirit of God. Note also, the scripture says human effort accomplishes nothing.

The strength of man will surely fail. You can not make exploits by your strength; by your decisions, by your wisdom, your knowledge or understanding, He says only by His Spirit.

I came to understand it well in this scripture, John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. This explains that the Spirit is the Word of God.

We can do nothing and prevail by no other means if not by the Word of God. When you follow and obey His commands, then you succeed in all you do.

When you hold unto His promises and pray with His words, you shall see Him manifest Gloriously.

So it is also right to say “It is not by might nor by power, but by the Word of God.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
