U have point when u said ijaws are trying very hard to bring most of the tribes in Rivers under the ijaw nation umbrella. Before 2000 or so, the nembes say they were not ijaw but after the asari dokubos campaign they changed the narrative. I was even shocked when kalabari and okrika started claiming ijaw.

But, the truth, the ijaws can readily speak in one voice when the cheap is done and fight to defend their interest but not the interest.

I watched how the Ijaws encroached from across comprehensive beach in borokiri axis to lay claim to lands as far as ogbunabali enclaves. They even killed ogbunabali youth leader in early 2000 while the rest of the youth just stood there and did nothing.
The ijaws are fighters while the ikweres only knows how to oppress the non indigenes amongst them. They just cannot stand any of their neighbours in open confrontation. Wike is just blabbing because he is power.
