Anyways, the President cannot sack the CBN Governor, except with 2/3-majority of Senate. However, with the enormous powers the Nigeria President have, he can suspend the CBN Gov even if it is unconstitutional. That's what GEJ did to Sanusi, Sanusi was never sacked.

For now, if the President sends a report about Emefiele to the Senate especially with the Senate President running, the Confirmation of his sack will be done in record time.

The president can suspend the CBN governor and the National Assembly will finish the work by kicking him out of office.
That will be a shameful way for Godwin Emiefiele to exit such a post.
I think the honourable thing for him to do is just resign.
He should stop all this court case and gra gra he is doing.
Everybody knows Mr. Godwin can remain as CBN governor and still contest the presidential election.

Maybe a CABAL.

President has ordered that all the Political appointees should resign, this is just in connotation to the law as it is, not just Political appointees, Civil and Public Servants who wish to run a partisan politics have to resign too.

The order does not mean that the President is hell-bent to get him sacked if not, if he does not resign and unvails full interest in politics and the number of days in which he has to do the needful approaches, the law will catch up with him, there are procedures for that.

However, for many of you guys who are shouting the President can not get him sacked, the President can still do that, as it enshrined to him by the law in the clause of "veto power" he enjoys in a presidential government structure.

In such a structure, after God, it is the President, a similar thing happened during Jonathan's administration, he sacked Sanusi Lamidu Sanusi, the then CBN governor when his tenure was yet to expire.

The position of Emefiele is both by seniority and politics.
