I don't know what is going on in Nigeria, are corporate brands now scamming us too? Does it mean there is no consumer protection council or what? Am I the only one who has been scammed here or others just forgot about it?

I wanted to make international call at a cheaper rate considering it was going to take long. So, I browsed glo website for any available plan/code I should use. I was directed to make use of *605*pin# or alternatively, dial *777#. I chose the former.

They claimed I was entitled to 19 minutes call time valid for 7 days if I recharge 200 naira. However, to my shock, after doing as they stated; they collected the money but I got a response when I dialled the foreign number that I have insufficient airtime for this call.

I have called the customer care agents but they told me their system is down. I checked their online chat but they couldn't explain to me what happened.

I will attach evidence here and hopefully the mods would take this to front page so that other Nigerians should be wary and for consumer protection council to look into this case.

Nigeria is already a difficult place, so why are corporate brands that should be honest indulging in such criminality.

I know I'm not the only person to have been scammed but the more we overlook all these because the money involved isn't much, the more our society continues to rot.

EFCC is always fast in arresting Yahoo boys and parading them when the major fraudsters are on the loose scamming poor Nigerians.

I don't know which mod is responsible for crime section but this needs to be moved to front page.

I'm so angry!!!

I called their customer care again and after the agent couldn't provide a satisfactory answer, she transferred the call to her superior who was even more irresponsible.

Imagine they said I should have called them first to verify the code before using it and I asked her, does it mean their official website is not reliable or they just want to scam Nigerians? Why on earth am I supposed to call Glo customer care to verify what they wrote clearly on their own website?!!!

Where are the consumer protection council?

Where are lawyers that provide proof Bono services?

Glo is scamming Nigerians and this is a winnable case in court!

I have all the evidence and glo would lose if we take this case to court.
