I am using redmi note 8. Had a battery problem. Went to their office at 30 okporo road by artillery port Harcourt. I was told to pay 9500 naira for the battery. Which I did. For over a month now, I have been calling and going there and they said it hasn't come. The customer care number on the receipt which I also called, keep dropping my call the moment I complained of not receiving the battery. The office at okporo port Harcourt keep telling me not to disturb them that when my battery arrived I will know. For over a month now. This is something they promised it would be available like three days after I paid for the battery. Forget about the hype, u will never know how frustrating it is to fix any Xiaomi phone till u have issued with Ur phone. I will go to their office with a naval office to request for refunds next week. I regretted recommending this very brand to my colleagues in the office. I don't know whether it's everywhere or just port Harcourt customer care office.

Please nairalanders, any alternative battery brand that can perfectly suit this redmi note 8 apart from redmi note 8 battery itself?

My candid advice, avoid anything called xiaomi and Redmi. The hype is not worth it. My Redmi 8 suddenly shut down for almost 2 months, I went to Raya care here in Port Harcourt and was told that the panel needs to be changed at the cost of 45k..imagine.
I jejely dumped it and moved on. The younger sibling, Redmi 8A is flickering. Atimes, it will freeze and starts responding when you press the power key.
I repeat, avoid xiaomi and Redmi phones like plague. I am not hating, I speak out of experience. All my friends that I introduced the Redmi phones in 2019 and 2020 had a sour taste of one issue or the other.

My brother, that phone and customer care is horrible. It's a good brand though but u will be angry, I mean very angry and regretful when u have one little fault with that brand Xiaomi.

bro Xiaomi is dope and I have been using them for ages without issue..my Xiaomi mi9t just fell and the screen and the back glass was bad, I went to calcare and they said they will have to waybill to Lagos to fix and it will take 14days, I paid. After 14 days, they didn't call me, so I went there and asked for the phone, they said they don't have the screen and I was mad, you should have called. So I told them to waybill my phone and refund my money. Two days time I went there to pick it up. I just ordered the OLED screen from AliExpress and the back glass to Nigeria, it took about 2weeks to get delivered. I looked for a good repairer and they changed the screen and back glass, everything was smooth. I started rocking my sweet Xiaomi mi9t until I started falling the phone again lol, am not good with phones, sometimes phone will just fall from my hand when sleeping, there was crack on the screen after falling several times and I don't use screen protector ( my fault) and recently it got damaged in abuja. I will have to order another screen from AliExpress and battery and get it fixed myself. I already made a call to repairng here on nairaland and they said they have the screen , I might end up using them to save time. My wife already gift me a Redmi note 11 pro plus 5g 8+3ram/256gb, rocking this before I fix my mi9t cos I miss that phone lol.... Xiaomi is dope , you can try oppo if you don't like Xiaomi..

My brother. Repairing on nairaland that is closer to my location here in pH? We were all happy that at last there is a customer care from them. Not knowing that, it's worst. If u have one repairer in pH please recommend for me.

Ok Sir. No doubt it's a good phone. The only issue is when it has problem. There so call customer care in Nigeria is 101% useless.
