Please where in the constitution is it written that blasphemy is a crime?

What happened to freedom of speech in Nigeria. That fact that some northern people are justifing the killing is worrisome. Blasphemy, to the best of my knowledge is not a crime and we live in a country where the constitution is supreme and religion laws does not and will never be biding on citizens. This worrying. Is Nigeria is country or a Islamic state? Blasphemy is not a crime!!!

What I want to understand is why will a religious law be a biding law to people who do not practice the religious.

My worry is that these belief is widely spread in the north and seen as supreme above the constitution. So people who do not practice same religion as the Muslims is compel to either obey their religious law or die.

It's worrisome because it's what these people believe to be absolutely right! And justice. And nobody is saying anything about it. The North and the South has different believe system.

Among the Igbo of the south east, is there a different law going there also? There is sit at home every Monday which is against freedom of movement in Nigeria.

You dare not abuse Kanu, you will be killed and beheaded. What is the madness going on the North and East? West need to learn a lesson and resist the terrorists from both region!

Freedom of speech gives you the right to criticize politicians, it does not give you the right to say any nonsense that crosses your mind... (Even in America)

If your speech could destroy someone's life or cause problems in the society then you should be halted from speaking.

Why is it that only Christians insult Mohammed PBUH? I have never seen or heard any traditionalist insulting Mohammed PBUH before.

And they always do it in the middle of Muslims.

If you insult Mohammed in the midst of your fellow Christians, you can go free, but they just have to dare the Muslims, when they react, you call them Terrorists.
