A tattoo loving mother is being slammed online for putting fake ink designs all over her one-year-old baby - with critics accusing her of raising him to be a 'gangster' and a 'thug.'

Shamekia Morris, a fashion designer from West Palm Beach, Florida, first started putting temporary tattoos on her son Treylin when he was just six months old.

She often covers the tot, who has become well known on social media under the username NuggerWorld561, from head to toe with tattoos - placing intricate body arts on his stomach, arms, back, and legs.

Although the tattoos aren't real, many people online have blasted the mom-of-one for covering her toddler with the designs, with some branding her a 'bad mom.'

'I get a lot of backlash, people say I'm raising my son as a "gangster," a "thug," they're not used to seeing a baby with tattoos,' she told Truly during a recent interview.

The online backlash started before Treylin was even born, when she did a maternity shoot in a tattoo parlor, in which she showed off her own ink designs.

'When I was eight months [pregnant] I did a maternity shoot with my brothers at a tattoo shop,' she recalled.

I got bullied on social media. All the comments were negative, people were saying my baby was going to be born with a whole bunch of tattoos. He's going to have skin poison. It was crazy.'

And when she started putting the fake tats on little Trey, her followers were not amused.

She said people have told her that Treylin is going to 'get shot down in the streets' or that she is 'raising him for prison.'

She added: 'The backlash has been horrible. It hurts my feelings because I know I'm not a bad mom and I get called all types of names. It's crazy.'

But she is not going to let her online haters stop her.

'For the people that judge me, I don't care because this is a lifestyle that we enjoy,' she continued.

If you're judging someone off of a 30-second video on social media that's your business, but what you say or think about someone isn't going to determine what they're going to be in the future.'

When Shamekia first started putting the temporary tattoos on Treylin, many of her family members weren't fans.

But now, after seeing her grow her social media following - she has racked up more than 300,000 followers on TikTok - they are nothing but supportive.

'When I first started tattooing Treylin, my family hated it because they don't like that I have tattoos. My family was very upset,' she shared.

'But now that they see it could be something positive, they love it. 'Cause when we're out, he gets a lot of attention and kids really love the tattoos.'

Her sister Dinera added: 'When Shamekia came up with the idea, I wasn't down with it, I was totally against it. I did not want her to do that with him.

'But since I've seen where it could take her and Treylin, I didn't have no issue with it because it turned out to be a positive thing.'

Treylin's aunt Ilisha also gushed: 'The very first time Shamekia told me about the tattoos, my first reaction was - they're going to call DCF on you. But I'm proud of Shamekia and the life she's making for Treylin.'

Shamekia insisted that Treylin 'loves' the temporary ink designs. She also said the the one-year-old enjoys to dress up in fancy clothes.

He has his own walk-in closet, which is filled to the top with outfits for the toddler, as well as over 150 pairs of sneakers.

She often accessorizes Treylin's looks with extravagant pieces of jewelry - including gold chains and sparkling necklaces.

'I think Treylin loves dressing up. When he sees himself dressed in the mirror he be feeling himself, he be bopping, he be dancing. I really think he enjoys it,' she revealed.

Despite all the negative comments, Shamekia is confident that she's a good mom to Treylin, and she has no plans on stopping with the temporary tattoos any time soon.

She concluded: 'My opinion of being a great mom is being their cheerleader, being their go-to person, being their best friend.'
