If you check properly ijawland produces 60% of the crude that sustains the entire nigeria, rives 60% delta 60%, akwa ibom 40%, ondo 50%, edo 60%, yet poverty is rampaging the entire ijaw land, is that not a curse,
When there was no crude oil, the people were united, going about their legitimate busineses(fishing), but today, fishes are going on extintion because of crude oil, what a curse,
Let us outline them,
1) poverty; if you go round the ijaw land, hardly you will see the impact of the Goverment, in terms of basic amanities, infrastures like, road, ligth, water, health center.. So pathetic.
2) unemployement; as unemployement bit hard in the country, it has it chonk in ijawland, alot of ijaw graduates are without meaningful jobs. because crude oil brings crises and crises chase away copnies.
3) crises; because of the few available resources, the greed in most persons are unvailed ledin to criss .
4)pollution; the so called crude has made existence of fishes and acquatic animals a mirage, a faded dream.

Thank God they did not cede those oil wells to Imo state.
It would've have been a curse. A huge curse!
It would have polluted our land, our atmosphere and corrupted our people.
Our people must continue to till their lands for food, and not become lazy and greedy for "oyel money". It is a blessing.

Our land must remain clean, green and fruitful.
Our air must remain clean too.
