The United States was rocked by mass shootings over the weekend that claimed at least 11 lives from coast to coast. All in, data show the U.S. has seen 33 mass shootings since the start of this month to May 15.

Fox News Digital reviewed the Gun Violence Archives’ data on mass shootings from May 1-15 for the previous five years and found 2021 had the highest number of mass shootings at 37, which is a 12% more compared to 2022.

The Gun Violence Archive defines mass shootings as ones where "4 or more [people are] shot or killed, not including the shooter." The database, as of Monday morning, shows that so far in the month of May, there have been 33 mass shootings, including the Laguna Woods church shooting and Buffalo grocery store shooting.

There is no consensus on the definition of "mass shooting," but it is typically defined as an event where at least four people are injured or killed, not including the gunman, at one location. The FBI does not define "mass shooting," but previously defined "mass murderer" as a person who kills at least four people in one incident. ---Fox news

Herdsmen and bandits kill an equal amount of people, if not more, in Nigeria every day.

Golan007:
America and insecurity.

He’s in jail and will most likely never taste freedom again. Have the guys who burned up that innocent girl been apprehended and arrested! never to be free again? What about the train bandits, are they still at large?
Comparing ‘insecurity’ in America to insecurity in Nigeria is like comparing a fish with a yam

Crime rates are down overall throughout the vast majority of America, including major cities. Some of what gets classified as mass shootings is actually gang and drug crime.

The actual mass shootings are clearly terrorist acts by white nationalists (most of them). They're paying some of them, and weaponizing easily manipulated people in other cases.

But it's obvious nationalists have the support of law enforcement and politicians because none of these incidents are actually investigated. When you have law enforcement that will sit around observing some random dealers who are basically a bunch of high school kids in one little part of a neighborhood, but these same people basically ignore large-scale terrorism, it says a lot about America. No sensible person thinks these are random acts.
