At my work place, recently I noticed that one of my senior male colleague in his early thirties, not married is always defending, and protecting me even if I am wrong in many cases! I started noticing this for few weeks now and I don't understand his motive and reasons for doing it undecided

I also noticed, He does this for only me and no other person! I just want you guys opinions for his reasons and motive for doing this!

Note: he is not displaying any romantic moves towards me, he keeps a straight face around me
As an elder, I want to ask u a questions, each time he defend u what is always your action and reaction?

Have u.ever walk up to him and tell him thank u boss for protecting me the other day?

What is always in your mind whenever he does that?

If u don't know how to unlock the hidden agenda in his mind try and be friendly with him. When u are free with somebody u can tell such a person anything.

It is not bad for u at least to walk down to him and say my boss good morning with a smile on ur face.

It is not bad for u to buy a Candy for ur boss without any emotional attachment.

If u can be free with him he will open up to

He may b afraid to stoop low to your level but it is only u that can give him that strength to find his voice.

Looking at ur pic. U must be a very fun loving person.

U can know his intention within a short time
U ladies have that natural power. Use that .

Okay each time he defends me out of the blues, I do walk up to his office later to thank him with a smile but he is always wearing a cold and emotionless face that's why it is hard for me to read his intentions!

Don't read many meanings to it... Take it as an act of kindness, compassion and maybe likeness... Respect is reciprocal... Its good if someone seems to be standing in gap for you. It is tangible and valuable... You can value them too... Take note, always do the right things so that he may not necessarily to protect you; don't make him protecting you doing wrong things or don't continue doing wrong things and expect him to be protecting you continuosly.
Alright Noted thanks

Small shocked I am not small you can't judge with pics sha! But @bolded maybe I remind him of someone
You look small like under 20, probably 17 or 19.
Your colleague likes you, and probably has a huge crush on you.
Maybe he thinks you might talk down on him or report him if he directly tells you his affectionate intentions towards you.
He appears to lack the courage to ask you out. And you seem like a young Nigerian girl with low manners regarding guys.

Though I agree with most people that he probably likes you it could also be that you remind him of someone he cares/cared for...... so this possibility is a 15% chance, with "he likes you" being 80% and the other 5% being "other reasons".

Yeah... She might remind him of his lil sister or niece.
